Seriously. Implementation would be a breeze. Reduce the global representation of speed to accommodate the Fire Moth's 200+ kph top speed. Even scale it differently.

Changing the entire pace of the game just for one silly mech makes no sense.

Couldn't they simply take the MASC off and have something the speed of a commando pre speed tweak nerf?

They can't take MASC off without breaking Omnimech rules.

Plus, with the recent MASC buffs, Pea Gee Eye clearly wants to make the item worth its weight rather than allowing everybody to strip it off.

Also, even without MASC it's a bit over 174 kph, while the old Commando was 171.

Some would argue it needs it regardless of the mech in question. :)

Adjust whatever is needed. I want my Dasher-D! It was my favorite mech in the Battletech CCG. Check out those hard points, you could practically blind fire over hills with those babies.

And even 171 broke netcode for me.

Given the mech's armor, I'd say allowing it to be very hard to hit due to poor netcode is okay.

We would need some sort of ghost speed.

Bad enough with the light mechs we do have that get super lag armour and you want another potential invulnerable mech?

No thanks.

It's bad enough when an ACH and a Spider end up as the last two mechs alive on a team because they just have no fear because they don't take damage easily.

Game play is broken enough in that respect without adding more before its resolved.

I'm not saying lights are op, but with the implementation and play style and weapons carrying you see.......

Maybe once we get the engine update we will see the Dasher.
But i doubt we will see it before, it would basically break the game.

Why hasn't this been filed into the same '**** NO' folder the Flea is in?

They could just give it a negative speed quirk (just enough to keep it from breaking the game) and then give it some other positive quirks to compensate.

Saying "the last mech alive" isn't really meaningful, because a certain playstyle can allow you to be the last mech alive in virtually any mech in the game. And by "certain playstyle" I mean staying towards the back and letting your team take the brunt of the red team's firepower.

I've been the last mech alive as an Urbanmech.

I've been the last mech alive as a Warhawk.

As it turns out, I've been the last mech alive as quite literally every single mech that I have ever played. Some can do it more often than others, sure (e.g. fast ones), but being the last one standing isn't some kind of magical thing exclusive to lights and also doesn't mean the game is broken.

From the sound of last night's Town Hall, even the Flea has been pulled out of that theoretical folder.

I bet all 5 or 6 of the people that care about it will be happy to pay $85+ for it.

Uh, entitlement in it's purest form.

Because I want it everything else should bend to my rules.

There's two possibilities for the Ultra-Lights some people want: a) they are so fast that they break the game b ) they are effing useless.

I just don't understand why anybody is putting his vote in for them. Nostalgia, yes, but this is not the BT tabletop this is MWO.

So let them pay $85. What is it to you?
