I have a few questions about the things mentioned in the title.

I played MWLL quite a bit around the 0.5 state and onwards and was really depressed when it was terminated but hopeful for MWO. I played MWO on and off for a while, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did MWLL, not even close. MWLL was a BATTLETECH game not a Mechwarrior game and the mixed mechs, vehicles and aerospace is what made that game unique and spectacular. I dont get that from MWO because I am once again limited to just mechs as I have been since the late 90's.

Why was MWLL forced to stop development when MWO came around? Was MWO afraid of the competition? Was it copyright infringement? Couldn't MWLL work out some sort of agreement so that they could resume development?

Will MWO ever attempt to go the route of a BATTLETECH game, have they ever talked about adding tanks and aerospace. I dont keep up to date with devblog and such so that's why I ask.

MWLL was the best game of it's time mod or not. It's so sad to see how popular it was back then as opposed to now with 0 players on. The people who devved that game were very passionate about what they were doing and it was heartbreaking seeing them just shutdown with the snap of fingers as the big dog dozed them over.

i switched over just before the clan invasion. games were getting scarce. for awhile i alternated only playing mwo when the mwll servers were dead. eventually there were no games and i switched over for good. living legends had better game play, mwo has been all about the mechs to an absurd degree. pgi's unwillingness to progress the timeline and bring in new tech has really made the game dull. living legends had some of the best maps ever seen in a mechwarrior game, while mwo's maps are much more static and dull. pgi could really take a few ideas from living legends and make their game awesome, but they never learn. rose colored glasses? perhaps. sure beats brown colored glasses though.
