I didn't get this at first, but now I do.

At the earlies, 4 months form now, after another medium and 2 heavies. I wonder if that island will run out of food or water by then?

That's pretty much my whole point. Mechy-mon has a lot of mechs to it and this is mostly nostalgia wants. So to literally knock the Viper while it fills a very small niche (40 ton clanner) while promoting mechs that offer nothing at the same time (again baring the mk2 or asp), and to slam anyone that wants the Viper as idiots is beyond buffoonery.

Crossbow as medicore as it is is something I would probably use... I like it and the Battle Cobra, fan of Steel Viper omnis. But man the Bow would be a lame omni.... do you want 2M? 4M? 2M 4B? OH BOY!! and all in the arms!! gee bill!

At least you'd have a whopping 16 tons to fill those arms with! Go wild! If LRMs were not such tremendous balls of suck, it wouldn't be a total waste. But.... LRMs are in a sad state as direct fire weapons.

It really does look amazing, though, doesn't it? Aesthetically? It looks pretty damned cool. I just wish LRM were in a better state, such that they could be used more directly and with less wasteful damage.

Eh. But with only 4 A-SRM6? Incredibly #Mediocre. If C-LRM (of any size) were worth it, slapping four on the mech might be worth a laugh.

I get good use of LRM15s in clans, though it's situational. But not enough ammo. 4xLRM10, might work. Not claiming it would be great, possibly barely decent. I just like the thing.

I would probably want it over a Madcat mkII. Just sayin.

What if they put in the Crossbow E and slapped in MGs instead of AP gauss.. 16 MGs? or hell lets jump to the H and somehow finagle 2 MGs into each side torso instead of LMGs so we could run like quad AC 2 with E arms for like... NO SCREW IT ALL 20 MGs!
