Yeah you need more dakka. Pity that Victors are in such sad shape.

agreed. Good thing I really love my RFL-3N despite the whiny wusses claiming it's too fragile. Twists and spreads damage well, is pretty small, arms shield good and packing 2xAC10/2xMLs? Vicious dakka machine with the 3N quirks (love that 40% velocity boost makes my ac10s effective out to good range)

Factions might have a point...then.

I would so totally support this, at least in Group Play. Leave the Solo play more of a lone wolf/merc feel, since it's meant for masochistic casuals.

Yup, factions would have a big impact then, though factions with less "meta" mechs might have troubles.

I would at least like some LP bonuses for faction mechs.

I could hope it would force PGI to be more proactive toward balance, but we know that won't happen...you'll just see the usual metawhore faction jumps you already see when IS/Clan balance of power shifts.

I've been screaming (more like fervently typying) that they needed to offer LP boosts to certain mechs for the factions.

And on top of that how about holding a planet in CW for X days gets you a faction loyalty mech something like for example if youre holding a planet for Clan Ghost Bear you get a Mad Dog (CW) which then grants you a 30% CW LP boost on that mech

Yo mean XXX days. Maybe xx weeks, with turn over rate turned to once a week instead of by the day, based on how much one sides % wins has had over the time period. Like you want the planet? Then instead of last minute rushing to 51% you need to get total wins you've had for the planet to be 51% over the course of the week, 23/7 ( last hour being cease fire/tally time). Now we're talking earning a Mech.
Tbh I doubt holding one planet less then 10 days would be worth a bonus-ized Mechs. Otherwise people would do a circuit over the course of a month For 3 or 4 Mechs then drop out of cw fast.

I was thinking 30, 60, 90 days myself tbh. Real incentives for planets to be held, the actual numbers can be varied, but reasons for people to hold planets, fight for said planets and not move from faction to faction.

Perhaps make it so these mechs can be purchased by all members of the holding unit at same price of their standard versions (no need to change the mechs other than add loyalty bonus and add CW designation, in all other facets they would be exactly same as all other mechs, so not much work for PGI in their creation)

I've been doing that for quite a while... but i don't play much lately, so my DDs are a bit outdated:

Kurita - Battlemaster, marauder, griffin, panther. ( I tried a dragon before, but later went for the griffin, i like jjs too much )

Steiner - Atlas, griffin, griffin, commando. ( 2 griffins as a reference to the Tharkad throne room, but a zeus should fit in quite easily: atlas, zeus, commando and phoenix hawk for example )

I'm all for restricting the available mechs depending on your faction, or giving a bonus for using a faction apropiate DD. But i doubt many players will.

Let's see...

4x CPLT

Wow, that was easy. I'm not sure how effective that would be though.

With Cataphracts, Blackjacks, Vindicators and Ravens, it's impossible to build a Liao dropdeck which isn't 5 tons short.
