Real sports have a buildup before the big matches, and I note that some esports have started this too, as it builds hype and interest.

To help supply pre match material for analysis, and also build match strategy I think that team chassis selection should be set before the match (maybe a day maybe more) including 4 subs.

e.g.
Player 1: Mr X : Stalker 5N
Player 2: Mr Y : Timberolf PRIME
Player 3: Ms Z : Atlas BH
etc...

On match day 8 of the 12 while still maintaining tonnage (or other) restrictions.
