Had this thread in General Discussion, it got sidetracked too many times. When will the drops be? This is important for people who work long hours.

The current generic response is "During the peak hours for that region."

Well, seeing as each region first plays only against each other (AM vs AM, EU vs EU AUS vs AUS) this shouldnt be too difficult. The only major problem I see is getting all team members together at the right time, as some people work in shifts which makes timing during the weeks a headache. Maybe the match timing rules could be extended to include the possibility of agreeing on a time with your opponent instead of fixed times? If no agreement is possible, then a drop on a Saturday @20:30 for final possibility and if one team is not able to make it they get the default loss.

Yeah, do we decide the times we fight?, does PGI? Many of the DSA are reliant on this information as we are on the fence about entering.

Will PGI or teams be scheduling the games?

Bump, we need to know how matches will be scheduled to know if we can even participate. We all have jobs and lives we'll need warning to rearrange if necessary.

Has there been an update to this? I note there is a 9 hour difference between Israel and New Zealand, both countries lumped into the Asia pacific regions. So 8pm prime time New Zealand is 11am Israel, in the middle of their workday. And as live1991 pointed out, thet is still a 5 hour gap between New Zealand and Western Australia.

Better call Saul asked a good question too, will PGI work out match times / days or will teams? What happens if there is no mutually agreeable time, will there be a default time?

It's very hard to organise a team when you have to choose between players from multiple regions and various work / family commitments but have so little details.

This really need to be addressed ASAP. it's the number one concern of every team I've spoken with. A suggestion would be for PGI to designate a deadline for the match to be played by with the time to be determined by the teams as with MRBC.

I am frankly in favor more of allowing the teams to agree on a mutually accepted time with perhaps 1 Referee (spectator) to oversee the match. Makes a lot more sense since 'Peak' time is a bit vague...

This. I work long hours and weekend in the summer. Weekend peak time could literally be any time of the day for all I know.

I hope you understand this generic response is making it so 80% of the people i ask to join a team says "maybe".
So in the end im going to have at the best 10 maybe players on our team.

Over all tons of people are not playing because of this.

BUMP. Serously PGI your generic responce is not good enough. We need more details in order to form teams.

the standard for comp play is "each set of teams determine together, the schedule" and usually has a begin and an end date to have it accomplished. I think that will be how it plays out.

But this begs the question on the roster sizes, as, a larger roster size would allow more flexibility to teams, to me this goes hand in hand.

There may be some issues stemming from "shoutcasting" matches and having to match up times for that.

I honestly believe they will give everyone a week that includes at least 2 weekend days to get a match set up, and, more then that, they can not do.

The countries listed for each region span at least 8 (NA) to 13 (EU) time zones. Knowing what time the matches will be scheduled will be important to finalizing our rosters.

What if there is a difference of opinion (or scheduling requirement) between the two teams?

Who decides what changes are reasonable or not?
