You can change one-shot camo a half dozen times and still have paid less than a single buy-it option. So to make the buy-it option viable you need to buy new camos repeatedly or buy multiple buy-it camo - which essentially means you need to blow 2k+ MC on camo for the buy-it option or 50-75MC on one-shots. So 30-40 one-shot camos vs 1 buy-it camo + 15 one-shots or 2 buy-it camos to flip between.
What does that mean?
Even with the sale it's a terrible idea and a terrible deal. Unless you will happily spend $50 per mech to play dress-up every day you play just do the one-shot camos.

At 375MC and 625MC the Unlockable patterns are the same prices as putting the one shot camo on all 5 variants of the Alpha Lance mechs if you bought the full pack (Collectors + Hero). So it's a wash price wise if you want to put it on all of them, but if you change the camo once and want to switch back the on sale unlocks are a better deal.
And since the unlock does it for all variants of a chassis, future chassis variants if they are ever released would also be able to use the camo.

Except Hero and ® variants can't have the camo, so you're only getting 3 of them you can change patterns on.

Not true on the Alpha Lance, the Hero and the (S ) variants will take the camos too. So with the collectors pack you have 2 Mechs of the (S ) version variant (One S, one regular), for a total of 5 mechs that you could apply the pattern.

Its a decent deal @50% off.
I'm glad you know where your Character keys are

Its a great deal if your one of those people that likes to swap camo and colours around a lot.
If your one of those people that simple knows what they want, spends time choosing it and then never changes it, single shot are still a far better deal on any chassis with less than 5 variants, not including a hero.
No need for the implied expletives but that is why I'm here because the @50% isn't happening, according to my girl friend.

Just a quick reminder that even if you buy a one shot pattern you can keep changing the colors on your mech that's using it without having to rebuy the pattern; it's there until you replace it.
I'm always changing the colors of the flames on my cicada and the colors of the (special) snowflakes on my marauders without having to spend any extra cash.

Permanent patterns are never a good deal in any circumstance really. Even if you change your camo patterns often, you're still getting better value if you do one shots.
