Talking about hideous freaks like the Viper & Stormcrow... and they're completely impractical, considering they're not long enough to even reach for anything.

In the Viper's case I agree, it's hands are not supposed to be that small, but the Storm Crow's hands have always been as small as they are.

No, no. You see, the hands are on extendable mounts, that way they don't get blown off in battle. They are short because they are retracted.

The stormcrows hands totally look like they could extend out. Never noticed that before.

I imagine Alex drew them that way so the arms can be used to manipulate objects intended for human (operation). Admittedly, they are still a bit big compared to our hands but it's better than if they have giant hands in proportion to their "body" size.

Yeah. Original Viper hands look HUGE, but a nice medium between the two and they would look just right.
