Clans need Naga, Turkina, Behemoth, Kraken, Kingfisher, and Supernova. We should at least look at them. They would be great options for Clan mechs.

I think the Nightstar would be awesome for the Inner Sphere and if we got the Behemoth those two could potentially be awesome rivals on the Battlefield.

Naga, maybe interesting if they fix LRMs.
Turkina, a worse direwolf
Behemoth is a 100 ton battlemech. The Kodiak is already coming and 100 tonners have very limited use in CW because they eat up so much of your dropdeck. Still, could be good.
Kraken, could be good
Kingfisher, standard 360 engine locked on a 90 ton omni. Very low podspace as a result. Still could be good but not alot of build variety there, just laser vomit and maybe missiles.
Supernova: Energy boating 90 ton battlemech. Could be good in laser vomit meta but might have limited potential post laser vomit meta.

Other options are the blood asp, MK II, Canis, Marauder IIC, Warhammer IIC, Savage Coyote, Wakazashi, and perhaps even the Omen and Night Wolf.

I'd anticipate it being pretty tough. With arms that protect protect the STs and high mounts so you don't expose too much of your mech, etc.

I love my Banshee but I agree that new is good.

Not so much even just new, the Night Wolf would have a larger spread of hardpoints, I could do more fun (read: not laservomit) builds with it and still run faster than a 100 tonner would.

I like laser vomit... honestly every mech I have is a laser vomit build.

There could definitely be use for Behemoth IMO (its not like there is a huge population in CW anyways, not that I can ever find anyways). The IIC mechs would be amazing. Marauder and Warhammer IIC would be absolutely awesome in the current game IMO.

Turkina may actually have a place IMO. It has 2 Ballistics, 2 Energy, and 2 Missile (from what I can tell don't quote me I am terrible with hardpoints), so there is possibility for some decent variety. It has potential I think. It would definitely be good at decent long range.

I think for Naga they should add Arrow IV... because I want Arrow IV. If they added Arrow IV I would actually use missiles.

Nightwolf, MkII, Canis, Omen, and Savage Coyote are too far ahead in the future and Russ won't let them be in the game (he has said 3053 is about as far as he wants to go right now). Savage Coyote would be cool though. But if we are going to go that far ahead we also have quite a few others.

http://battletech.wi...wiki/Clan_Mechs
I mean if we are skipping to the 3080's to get Clan mechs why not jump to the Dark Ages and grab mechs from there too? There are tons of mechs all over the timeline from the Clans that would do better.

Pbiggz isn't very fond of the timeline... But let's not go crazy with all that mess.

Timeline be damned, this mech is great and I would pay money for it. From a business standpoint, that should be all Russ needs to hear. "My customers want it and will pay money for it? Add it to the game!"

Oh timeline isn't an issue for the Nightstar really. ComStar has some, so while it's not back in production yet, it's available.

Most people aren't but unfortunately it exists to a degree and Russ is kind of stubborn.

My biggest aversion to many of the Clan mechs is that most of them don't have any weapons above the cockpit. I like them up higher so I can snipe easier, so that is why Blood Asp is what appeals to me most.

Nightstar would have that one weapon slot pretty high on the torso also which would be nice for the IS.

Well I think the timeline has it's purpose but because Pgi currently isn't utilizing it much at all it's looked at with negativity. At the least it allows Pgi to space out the mechs they release & keep the door open to better utilization of the timeline.

The lowest hard points on the NS would likely be the energy in the arms, depending on how they're situated. But it's not much to worry about because that'll still be right at cockpit height basically.

Imperius was a madman.Everyone who disagreed with him was his personal enemy.

TheArisen is not like him. Besides, Nightstar is a good mech and we need more 95 tonners.

Indeed he can. And part of what used to make "America great" was people could disagree like adults, and also would own up and take responsibility for their own actions and fallout if he "did do as he likes".

But as a wise man once said: "The times, they are a changin' ".

This one already looks like it could be made in game. PGI get on this! Straight up steal the design, I'm sure he wouldn't care. If I had to guess what it's a cross of, kinda looks like a mix of Marauder, EBJ, ShadowCat, and maybe a touch of SuperNova (the intake ports are what make me think that last part). Overall, I love it. Looks bad-*** and intimidating. Would spend $80 on a pack of 7 of these in a heartbeat. No hesitation.
