Euro servers and Oceanic servers have very poor maintenance. the NA server has the performance. So a lot of it has to do with which servers people decide to play on. Some people "have" to play on the oceanic server. And they are just lost and forgotten, and never get a chance to develop

It's really not though. I'm thinking of turning off everything but Oceanic, despite the higher ping, because people actually use tactics and work as a team. That's how pronounced the difference is.

If the oceana servers are anything it's lag shielded ravens warping about with 350 ping =P.

Nah the only Raven is Narc Bait, lots of ER Larger Laser Cicada's lately though.
I wouldn't say there is a lot more tactics used on Oceanic, but the quality of play is a lot higher.

To me they all played pretty similar on average, bit of differences here and there but for the most part they were similar. But I gotta say over the last couple of weeks Oceanic has played differently. And my experience is nothing like the OPs. Or at least not at the times that I usually get put there. Lately I usually see a lot of nascar but instead of a small track its a giant sometimes the whole map track. And if I call out something like "the enemy is pushing d4, I/the team need help" I can look at the mini map and watch my team in d5 turn completely around and head for d6. Basically anything but hold your ground.

I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy but seems to be how its been lately.

I have US and Oceanic ticked and don't really notice any major differences in tactics. Maybe because most other Australian's do the same so it's the same people on both. Don't play on the Euro server because my tolerance for ping stops at 350ms and Euro normally gives me 400-500

My observation are that Oceanic and NA servers do have higher levels of communication and coordination WHEN someone takes charge.

the Euro server however nearly never does anyone take charge and call a drop. My theory is this may be language based.

While the Oceanic and North American servers are by and large populated with native English speakers the Euro server has a higher population of non native English speakers and a much higher chance of a group of 12 players not having a shared mother tongue.

ifthe ping wouldn't be so horrible on the oceanic... I have something like 350-400 on a good day, you really have to lead your shots to the extreme to compensate the lag. Matches are fun there, though.

For the other both servers, imho it is not so much wihich server you choose but at what time of the day you play. In Europe prime time the NA server is full of ze germäns and vice versa for NA prime times. Pretty easy to spot when looking for the pings.

And at least every 10 matches or so you get someone with a 1 digit ping, I bet the server admins are playing instead of working

If you see someone with a one digit ping on NA server, they arent devs, they are in Montreal (east coast)
