Intentionally went lankier and faster looking than the source art. It's got decently high speed and Light armor, so looking like a blimp didn't work for me. Also didn't like the normal human type legs.

based on a suggestion from FupDup, I think I will add Cicada like panels to the arms, to act as shields.

Hmmm..... I toyed with more, but never found a level I liked. So, I decided since the thing only packs 8 tons of armor, let's make it streamlined, ya know?

Honestly, this mech, having been originally planned as a LAM, should have more jet-fighter design cues IMHO. It's also made by the same factory that made the locust, so following some of it's design cues as well, like the lanky build and strongly swept ST's.
CT aerodynamic bullet-nose, CT lasers in recessed ports.
Swept STs looking like wingroot leading edge extensions, but well armoured, blending into integral weapon pods. Over-the-shoulder engine pods much like marauder.
Ballistic and laser weapon mounts in weapon pods, SRM/LRM in leading edge with second launcher (if fitted) blanking out air intake on engine pod.
I think the lanky look works great, as do the long reverse joint legs.
Arms as protective panels would be awesome, especially if they fold out when jumpjetting (I do think PGI should make a -P variant with JJ)

got a few OSTs laying around, might be worth a revisit, until then, here's my last OSTscout design..... (I made a vicious bugger called the NightScout off the TRO Project Phoenix version... gotta see if I can find the specs....)

Hmmm, I wonder if you can do something with the Helepolis. You know, the pre-Star League artillery battlemech built by the Terran Hegemony.

Oh, CHAMPION Mech...now I get it. Now I want PGI to add the Champion next. Then I'll point out where it says "All Champion Mechs provide a 10% Experience boost". Lawyered.

I still want the mother of Trolls: the Urbie LAM, with central ring of rotor blades… it will feed revenge as a flying flower of death - with its Gauss Rifle, Endo Steel and 2.5 tons of Ammo... :)
