So, seeing as currently it is looking like 2/2/2/2, no tonnage limit, duplicates fine..

Will pilots pick a weight class inside a team and be locked to using that weight class for the tourney? Will our subs be locked to a weight class, and we have to use that specific sub for that weight?

Will teams be allowed mixed IS/Clan mechs? Why not prevent duplicate chassis?

What controls will be in place to prevent copy/paste meta builds on every mech? For every team? It will be boring for spectators to realize every team has the same mechs with the same loadouts, and interest will drop to nothing.

If we have only 4 subs for 6 months, I highly doubt this would be the case.

No you aren't locked to a weight class.

Individual pilots are not locked to a weightclass or mech by PGI. Your teamleader may do that depending on his strategy and the overall setup of the members to improve the efficiency through specialisation, but that is to be decided internally within each team.

The only official restriction by PGI is that each team must be compromised with 2 of each weight class per match. It doesnt mater if the Assault is an Awsome or a Kodiak or if the Medium is a Cicada or a Storm Crow. It also doesnt need to be the same mech for each game, you are free to use a Dragon in one game and a Timberwolf in another. The same applies to the pilots. You can be in a light for the first game or an Assault in the second game.
