GI has a point, if this really was an event for Phase three it would have different things in it.

Double xp is good for any event.

Mech bays and modules, the best idea, I don't need mech bays, but alot of new starts and newer players do, you want this new solo queue to work, you need players, 85% ( random percentage chosen to make a point) of new players are going to be put off because they can only use trial mechs, so they need their ow mechs, sure they can buy, but a 50% sale for them is a much better way of promoting.

This event doesn't really promote Phase 3 at all, its a general sale, event, which without the double XP gives virtually nothing.

$80 for a mechbay, you can buy for 300 MC I'm hoping that's Aussie dollars and not U.S

That's assuming you have mechs you can spend that amount of money on converting unused XP to GXP which is far less likely if you don't have a mech bay to put a mech in ?

You could have made a clan mech/mech bay sale before this one. That would have made sense to me. First we buy the mechs and then you help us mastering this new mechs with this XP event.

Maybe you could add a clan mech sale as some kind of hotfix for this event. That would be great and would give me a reason to spend more time and money on MWO.

Mech sales happened Jan/Feb mate, a module sale or a mechbay sale is due. dont expect anymore mech sales for a while tho (there is actually a pattern if your keen enough to look)

I sent a report for the sale.

"XP for Phase 3" is a much better title because it is accurate and it rhymes. The current title is wrong because you cannot stock-up on Mechs or Mechbays, and there are no Mech stocks on sale right now.

Additionally: If you want to promote Community Faction Warfare (and earn money during the process), a sale on faction items/colors/patterns might be good, because new mechs in the new mechbays from the sale above need new outfits.

a lot of people will, in case you forgot (or were unaware) they are splitting the queue's between pug players and tag players. so only pugs will play against pugs and taggers will play against taggers. So you are going to see a lot of newer accounts jumping into CW3. This is actually a really good event.

I agree 100%. And if any of these cheaters are from units who've had members banned before for cheating...then bar that unit from competing in competitions temporarily. If your unit can't be trusted then why should it be able to compete?

I like the cup of pop item so I might spend 100MC from the Alpha Lance on GXP conversion. And I'll soon be unlocking some modules so the GXP doesn't hurt

Someone commented about where to get all this xp to convert...which makes me wonder how often folks look at their existing mechs? My LRM boat battlemaster has since the last XP conversion event (when I emptied its xp out converting it) accumulated over TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND XP !!! That's one assault mech. And its the most used mech I have (because I'm using the high damage output to game the PSR increases) but out of 34 mechs, 28 of them are master skilled already, so they're all just banking more xp every time I use them.

GXP can be used to unlock mech skills and modules without actually playing the mechs. So .. if you have a mech that you want to use for Faction Warfare that is not skilled up, you can spend MC to utilize excess XP on other mechs ... convert it to GXP then use it to level up the other mechs without requiring game play time to do so.

For example, my JM6-S was mastered ages ago ... unlocking all the skills costs about 60k XP ... my JM6-S has about 300k excess XP sitting on it after mastering ... by converting that to GXP using MC ... I could master about 6 other rmechs without actually playing them. It is a perfect case of spending money to save time ... which is the definition of a revenue stream for a free to play game
