Some people want their teammates to all run into the middle of the circle. And if you don't, they start getting annoyed, even swearing. You know the drill: "Come on! Get in the effing circle! What are you idiots doing?!"
It's mildly amusing.
In response to those people, I have a couple points to make:
- Domination does not mean stop using cover.
- Domination does not mean everyone has to run into the circle.
- Domination does not mean stop working like a team and run around like a chicken with your head cut off.
Some of the basic tactical considerations of the game still hold, even in Domination.
- Use cover, and only expose yourself when firing.
- Win damage trade-offs as often as possible.
- Support your teammates by focusing fire, providing suppressing fire, and covering their small retreats to cover.
Sure, at the beginning of a Domination game, lights should run to the circle to try and gain an early clock advantage, or to negate one for the opposition.
But usually, running willy-nilly into the circle just means death and defeat.
