Now that they've taken the effort to bring MASC into the game, they need more Mechs that can be equipped with it.

The odd pricing model worked well for the Alpha lance and made the Kodiak a bargain. However, the Phoenix Hawk seemed already overpriced not to mention a 20 ton Mech (Stinger, Wasp).

My guess is Cyclops, due to the "Finished Art" comment from Russ.
Mind you, it's entirely possible Alex has a whole notebook of concepts laying around PGIs offices. In which case we literally have ZERO workable clues to go from aside from it being IS.
Mind you, I have ZERO interest in the Cyclops. None. Nada. Not without a major revamp to role warfare (aka actually HAVING role warfare) and the actual inclusion of Info War. It's just a Chubby Orion or a Wimpy Atlas without inforwar, and thus of ZERO interest.
What do I want, secretly hope and pine for? Either the Assassin or Vulcan, or as an outside Dark Horse candidate, the Dervish, which I could see there having been art laying about from the Kintaro era. Wasn't there some polls and stuff back then, too?
Anyhow, I'm a Medium Jock, so biased, and also realyl lookign forward to the 4v4, which would greatly benefit from new Mobile Mediums.

My preference is actually exactly the opposite, though I'd love to have any (or all) of the three.

is there any reason aside nostalgia for the cyclops? (not that nostalgia is wrong, just curious)
If inforwar was a thing, I could see it...but?

They also already have Art for the Flea.
And quite likely, the Dervish and Hoplite. In fact we know Alex has at least doodled the Hoplite in the past.
ok a little more than a doodle

It'd be a great poster mech for an actual infowar update. As has been pointed out many times (by you among others, IIRC), PGI pulled all the infowar stuff as a side effect of the laser lock-on mechanic getting panned by non-tester qq spam on the forums and twitter. The Cyclops would be a great opportunity for them to reintroduce a slightly tweaked (based on whatever actually useful feedback they got during that PTS session) suite of infotech quirks.
Plus, it was a favorite of mine in MC2 and the old Clix game - the unique Davion Cyclops pilot was in a lot of my army builds.
