Just like my last post, this one will not work with PUG's, but only dedicated lances and companies..
Overwatch is a vital tactic IRL combat. Parts of a unit, in our case a few mechs or a whole lance, take up position to watch and guard the rest of the mechs moving towards another position. The mechs on overwatch try to have clear view to fire.
When the advancing mechs reach their position, it is their turn to be on overwatch and guard the mechs now advancing to their position.

Another Important lance/company tactic

Overwatch is indeed a standard tactic. Of course, there are probably some people in here who aren't familiar with standard tactics.
Before you make another post about the benefits of combined arms, lets go ahead and get that one out of the way too.
Mixing different mechs that specialize in differing roles will boost your lance's effectiveness.
Yay, saved some electrons!

I thought it was best if everybody just ran in different directions by themselves and started a heads up fight with anyone they could find.
