That would have been my thought as well, along with the Kingfisher getting ECM. But apparently 61 damage isn't enough of an alpha for an assault. That must be why the BNC-3M never gets used over the Black Knight.. oh wait, it's one of the best IS assaults.

And what can those do? Anything new or interesting? Pretty sure the Marauder IIC could do full laser vomit "but you can do that on a heavy mech".

Russ couldn't think of any assault omnis that he liked.
The community was kind of split on Kingfisher vs Turkina, as the Kingfisher is kind of like a Banshee with high hardpoints, potentially getting some durability, and very likely getting ECM, where the Turkina is just a lesser Dire. I would like to have both but people demanding idealized super powerful assault Battlemech's have won out it seems.

We're the ones who give them money anyways.
Well that's part of the problem, some people kept saying they don't want them so they could get their super Clan battlemechs so Russ thinks the community wouldn't have purchased them.

How convenient the Kingfisher would easily be able to do ~30 damage with high hardpoints and ECM.
That doesn't bode well for your Mad Cat Mk. II though, which was fixing to have a 56-72 damage alpha.

I have noticed that many people want the Kraken:
- the basic model and Kraken 2 for boating ACs
- Kraken 3 for boating LRMs
- Kraken 4 for combined missile/ballistic builds (with LRMs instead of ATMs)
