So, with the inclusion of 4v4 and the obvious (...and foreseeable) advantages Clans have being able to boat large amounts of SSRMSs in a sub 55 ton match up, can we revisit Artemis and the invisible buff it gives?

Currently equipping Artemis is basically a free, direct upgrade to target lock time and tracking strength with no penalty aside from the initial cost. Clan mechs are obviously benefitting more from this as stated above... As far as I'm concerned it shouldn't affect streaks at all.

It's not much, but it's a start. What do you think?

It's because all lock-on missiles (LRMs and SSRMs) share the exact same lock, which means that any LRM locking buffs will affect Streaks equally.

Separate locks would be nice...but it will never happen. It's working as intended as far as Paul cares, because I guess it adds another money sink? :\

I can't imagine it being remarkably difficult to change Artemis to not affect streaks.
But then I remember how long it took to change flamers and I die a little inside
