Maybe dropship should be armed with Long Toms. Lets be little bit more serious. In my 20 or so scout matches I have not seen even once that game would have escalated fighting around dropship. So I would say that dropship is not big problem way neither another. So keeper atm. Lets see how meta will change when time advances.

I don't think the dropship has the same level of firepower as the Dropshipjesus that we're used to.
So, it remains to be seen (I don't know what they are configured for in Scout mode).

It seems like the dropship has Medium lasers, not many, and isn't very accurate. Had someone last night who was supposed to be helped by dropship get killed by it. Made me laugh way harder than it should have. So I think its in a balanced spot. No 12 ERLL CT AIMBOT dropship, it feels like a lighter dropship, and gunned by humans that can make mistakes.

Destructible turrets on the Dropship are needed.
At least it would allow you an opening (trading time for less damage); gets tight with only 1 minute to kill them.

i think the whole damn dropship needs to be a big npc character with its own explody bits like they were in mechwarrior 2. it doesnt need to be an exceptionally smart one, it just needs to follow its waypoints and shoot its turrets. one of the win conditions for counter scout needs to be destroy the dropship. even then i dont think a few lights have the firepower to do so. unless you could aim for engines and guns and take those out.
im not too happy with the dustoff mechanic either. you can be the last person alive and get to an uncontested drop zone and you still have to wait for the dustoff clock to time out for the match to end. during which time the enemy can kill you. now if you could dust off instantly when all still living friendly mechs are in the zone that would be better. the enemy could counter by engaging either mechs in the drop zone or the dropship (which would return fire). also if somone gets legged they would need the option to punch out so that the remaining members can escape.

IS drop ships do next to nothing I have yet to see an IS drop ship kill a Mech
I been killed by Clan dropships twice
One time all 4 IS Mechs where at the drop zone and the drop ship came
The last Clan Mech showed up to stop us and he did
You would think 5 of us blasting away could have killed one Mech (the dropship being number 5)
I just want both sides to be equal as far as the dropships are concerned
What I would do is have the drop ships take an arm then a leg then CT
That would allow the Mech to continue to fight while suffering damage
But most importantly it has to be the same for both sides
No computer balancing BS
