Why do we not Twitter Tina instead?

It'd be nice to get a " Hi, yes, I took notice of your message; I just can't answer you right now because X".

Unless community manager doesn't mean what I think it does...?

You can be civil without kissing the man's a**. Maybe if you tried that you would get further?

I made a twitter JUST for this. The following messages are the entirety of my account postage. How much more civil do I need to BE to not get completely ignored?

Quote

Hi, I'm an MWO player considering getting the Clan IIC pack. Can we expect the mechanics behind clan mechs before july 30?

Quote

Question regarding the C Bill bonus variant in packs. Would you consider making that variant selectable, instead of preset?

Quote

Any chance we can get a single mech solo? Really only want the Raven.

Quote

Are TCs greater than MK1 now going to be worth it? Shadowcat speed with Masc? Overall buffed JJs?

Quote

Couldn't they be a little more unique in that regard? The 11E Variant is dandy. What about 3M/3M arms?

Quote

How do you feel about PPCs and AC10s getting some extra utility?

Quote

Regarding MC Custom Geometry. Yay/nay?

Quote

How do Omnipods and Camo work for the hero? Not too excited about the camo, TBH. Would have liked a less stylized coat.

Quote

Emailed support & Your twitter about the Viper hero Omnipod mechanics. Still no reply. Can we get clarfication please?

Quote

Any chance we can get answers on how the Viper hero works first? :I

They are vigilant and I'll help by reporting the post. It's my duty as a concerned citizen.

Russ tries to only answers questions that can't be found elsewhere. He's not your personal magic 8 ball.

Though I heard if you shake him enough the outlook isn't so good.

Ha ha ha.

Maybe if you ask someone other than the CEO about stuff his staff might be able to help. If you had a question about your local Town/City Council would you go to the Mayor? ;)

*** Hoc ergo propter hoc (with this, therefore because of this). The fallacy of mistaking correlation for causation. Just because two things happen, one is not the only reason the other happens. An example would be, "The President has great economic policies; just look at how well the economy is doing". The ecomony could be doing better for other reasons than just the President's policies.

Likewise, you infer that Russ is not answering tweets because of no kissing his ***. Just as the example above, there could be many reasons why a tweet isn't answered other than what you inferred. Perhaps he had a family emergency, perhaps he is in a meeting, perhaps he is eating or sleeping, perhaps is being a husband to his wife, or a father to his kids. Not to mention that he responds to unfavorable and offensive posts as well if you would read his Twitter history.

/takes popcorn well I'll be sure to try and keep this thread in order, it did take a hefty turn with the sentence I edited out.

I think Bill Gates as microsoft CEO -- his job was basically to read & answer emails a significant portion of the day.

AFAIK, community managers aren't involved enough in the day to day development process to answer the types of questions daily fielded by CEO/Presidents.

Thank you. I don't know what it is that you edited out but I know better than to ask. This does raise an interesting question though. Would it help any to have a direct line to Tina on the Forums and on Twitter? She's a Community Manager but how much power does she have over game changes or with Paul or Russ? No disrespect to her intended it's just a matter of if she could get changes done that Russ would either reject or ignore from us but would consider by say her.

Having started the Twitter account for... how long has it been since the IICs were announced? A yearish? The only posts he seems to pay attention to are either things not directly related to MWO, or

" Hey Russ! This game is great! I'm giving you legitimate positive attention for your game!"

And having had the chance to jump on some of his tweets within the hour?

And not having been answered in the entire time span?

Believe me; if I had a more direct line that could get said questions answered, I'd use it. Support however takes quite a while to answer ( The questions on the viper, for example, or the IICs ).

What am I supposed to do? Spam his inbox until I get blocked for doing so?
