Just need far more maps period, with a variety of styles and moving objective locations that keep them from getting stale within a week.

Concourse 2.0 please.

One of the best maps from MW4 Mercs. And LRM user will hate them, definitely. :P

I'd always welcome more maps, but I really don't see the need for more dedicated brawly maps - because that's virtually every map we already have.
If I might make a suggestion for the starved brawlers; go join a scouting lance in FW. It will help with your yearning for knife fighting - one way or the other.

I see a lot of maps that are very open to long range fire fights and even the more constrained maps have large areas where long range trade offs can happen, do you think they should introduce to really clustered maps for the brawlers of the game?

You are kidding right? Polar barely qualifies as supporting long range engagements. There is a ton of concealment and cover if you have half a brain. Parts of other maps do allow for longer range fire but pretty much everyone avoids those parts. All the maps have plenty of cover on them already.

What is really needed are maps designed for long range fighting. I know that causes the anti-lrm idiots to go batguano crazy but it's true. You can take a brawler build and do fine on any map. You take a long range mech and that is not the case.

have fun getting narced in polar. and don't answer with "learn to 3ams nova".

If someone, usually a light, is within narcing range, then you should be killing him. If you are stupid and ignore him, then you might die. Pretty simple. Also, take ams.

We just need lots of small, simple maps, and a few smaller maps with some cool ideas. No more of this "Our map is the size of the whole of Ireland" where it takes ten minutes for each force to find each-other. Old River City did it right. Small, A good number of lanes, and it didn't take long to form up and get the action started.

Sure, more boring, stupid, 1 dimensional maps that kill the need for any type of mech but brawlers. Let me guess you love skirmish as well.

Problem as well is those small maps don't really allow many other modes besides skirmish. When the conquest caps are so close it make it all about killing.

Heavy urban map please!

There was a topic in suggestions with many awesome sci-fi scenes. It got over 1000 votes for which was the most favourite map to do and the one that got the most was "Metropolis".

So ya the map this game needs the most is a giant sci-fi city map. Massive buildings with broad avenues and tight back streets. Maybe some cool advertisements and stuff. Evac warnings and sirens...

I just got this mod for Fallout 4

Also that isn't a "Star Wars Imperial Siren" That's a modern day earth navy siren that's been around for like 70 years or something.

I think we need a map with a true city environment. Not one with the long sight lines of frozen or river but one in a true 'downtown' type environment. Something like New York or Paris where streets go off in different directions. Sure you can cover a street a long way, but there are lots of lanes to you that you can't cover.

A lot of modern cities have long sight lines. You don't want New York if you want short sight lines. You want Boston.

You can already brawl on any map? Other than the early game most engagements happen at brawl range.

We need less weapons that functional at all ranges.

I'd love a dense urban map, with long straight streets, grid-like, like a well planned city. Room then for range and brawlers (though sadness for LRM's) with easily hidden movements, and flanking.

i vote Polar when its available - no matter wich build i use - the valleys are great to move complete out of sight - you can even close on LRMs from behind and the first thing he recognizes are the AC20 shells in his back.

Yup, they always seem so surprised when they get flanked by a KGC, especially one with dual lpls to rip off armor and dual AC/20's for ripping through the rest. And of course by that time, their lights are either out of the game or way up at the front where they're otherwise engaged. Those ravines are real friendly to the KGCs.

I'm gonna say no, we don't need more brawling maps.

Why?

In 8v8 coordinated drops, mid to short-range pushes are already one of the strongest strats, and this generally includes brawlers. 12 v 12s brawling is a little bit weaker, but 12 v 12 has always been too large imo.
