Give us presaved dropdecks! Not only do you have to do mental gymnastics to know which map your're on. But you only get to change your drop deck for 60 seconds in the worst UI ever known to man that includes a bunch of mechs that aren't even usable.
At least give us a special tab that only shows valid mechs, or a "favorite mechs" tab.
But PLEASE for the love of God, give us presaved dropdecks.
Someone take this to twitter.

Saving loadouts doesn't have direct cash dollar injection into the game. Perhaps if it was a premium time feature. That actually may work.

We've been harping on them about it since CW1, don't expect to see a change any time soon.

The UI for Faction Play is...for lack of nicer words...utterly confusing and convoluted...even for veterans of the game.
As for saved drop decks, I'm sure it's probably a technical limitation that they don't have the resources to resolve at the moment....but that combined with the convoluted Faction Play UI, makes for a frustrating experience.
I don't care about saved drop decks as much as the fact that you can't even start building one until you pick a planet to attack/defend. You should be able to edit your drop deck from the main Faction Mplay menu, along with "Career Selection," "Inner Sphere Map," Factions," "Unit," etc. "Drop Deck" should be a menu item right in that menu with two sub menu items labeled as "Inner Sphere" and "Clan."

Would that be the same unicorn as saved loadouts for mechs as well?
Well no, because they simply aren't smart enough to just charge us for additional loadout pages. Pretty silly since if they started it when we first suggested it (closed beta) there were no onminechs and people would have gladly paid 300 MC to have additional loadouts for their small collection of favorite IS mechs.

Well I think its easy to understand and works well. It just isn't very attractive yet. Not very immersive is another thing about it to.
Amazing update though. I still have not seen artillery in action yet.
I imagine there are many upgrades yet to come as this entire faction play matures.
The only part that is difficult at the moment is the split queues.
Something more like this for UI or something modern and tight looking.
I bet a lot of the UI in game is place holder anyway.

Honestly... because of the way mechs are configured, the only part of preformed decks you could save are what actual chassis you want to load. You wouldnt be able to configure, for instance, any modules saved on that mech. As long as you acknowledge that limitation, there's no reason we couldn't have pre-saved decks.
What I want right now is seperate decks for scouting missions and invasion missions. Why are we drawing from the same deck?

In re the comments above about save drop decks, saved load outs and twitter:
I've been complaining about the lack of a feature that would allow us to save a certain number of drop decks (I think we ought to have between 4-8) for a year now. I even opened a twitter account specifically to ask Russ about this. Never received a response (yes I was polite, yes I always made the sacrificial preface of saying how great the game was and how the latest patch was flawless before asking for saved drop deck feature; still never received a response).
I don't want more time to chose mechs...we've already been punished enough with wait times. I want the ability to have decks ready to go, and that can be swapped out wholesale once the map and mode is identified. A drop down menu or tabbed screen with 4-8 saved decks should not be hard to institute. With scouting, just add a column for "scout drop selection" with maybe 4 mechs to choose from for scout drops.
Not only would such a feature make sense, it would also encourage collectors like me to keep buying mechs. As it is I won't buy anymore because the clutter makes it too hard to find the mechs I want in less than 1 minute before the drop. So the current system is costing PGI money. If a whale like me isn't spending anymore because of this, I guarantee others are making similar decisions. I will pay for this function if that's what it takes!
As to saved mech loadouts, I get why they don't do this. Want a bunch of different loadouts? Buy enough mechs to save all of those loadouts is I, I am certain, PGI's perspective on this. Alas.
