I've been experiencing random black screens that last 5-10 seconds before coming back. During the video blackout, I can still hear everything going on and the mech will respond to inputs, but I won't be able to see what's happening. This random black screen can mean a quick death if it occurs at the wrong time.
This has been going on for roughly the past 6 months, and I had considered it an Nvidia driver issue, but it only happens with MWO. All of my drivers are up-to-date.
My system:
CPU: Core i7 4790
GPU: GTX 780
RAM: 16 GB
MWO set on HIGH settings 1920x1080
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem, and if so what are your system specs?

sounds like when my video card overheats and the driver throws a fit. GTX660, but it gives me a message saying that the driver is crashing. You can hear the fans on the video card change when it crashes...they'll be going like a jet when the screen blanks. Always comes back up and you can hear things/act just like you described.
