Title is just my personal opinion, but the twin barrel design just doesn't look right. Compared to basically any other ballistic in the game, the barrels look too thin-walled, and the "sleeve" around the breech end of the (rotating?*) section breaks up the design too much.
I would ask for a stubby quad barreled design, as shown in this piece of art:

*Sidenote: what happened to the UAC5s rotating, that was a cool little detail, it bothers me that this is gone, at least so far as I've tested.

I agree, I think I heard somebody else say it before, but they kinda look like exhaust pipes.

Preach, brother!

They look like Grandma Duck's double-barrelled blunderbuss. Hands down, ugliest weapon in the game. I literally go out of my way not to equip them, because they are so aesthetically displeasing. I know, I'm weird like that.

If it wasn't so damned fun to shoot, I'd be the same, Alistair. However, they are so fun to shoot!

Still look awful, though. :\

Well my first idea when i've seen those two barrels was a pleasant surprise.
Because two barrel auto cannons are not so popular but they still exist:
https://en.wikipedia...Shipunov_GSh-23

But well while i could totally live with two barrels they should look different more like the SU-25 autocannon

I would prefer if they weren't double barrelled, I have two UAC 10s on my Hunchback IIC and would prefer they only had a single barrel.

You know what else is gone?

Your guns bobbing as you walk (e.g. RFL arms, torso mounts on BLR and CPLT-K2...compare to JM6 or BJ which still have the bob)
The muzzle brake on the gun barrels actually being cut outs (they are just badly bump-mapped textures)
Stripes on the end of the barrels that the player could alter the color of
The LB-10X having its hydraulic recoil tube (BJ still has it...but it's tiny)

I really don't know why PGI replaced the good-looking and well-crafted models with ones that are obviously suffering from low production value.

I actually find that although the newer designs are simpler, they are better proportioned and look better overall, in particular LBX ACs. The muzzle brake details would be nice to have back, though, as would the paint-able stripe.
Old design LBX was all over the place scale-wise, and in some cases looked like it had foil-thin walls to the barrel.

The funny thing is that the rotating barrel design of the IS UAC5 is more close to what the Clan UAC's should look like, because they spit out multiple ballistics per trigger pull.

As opposed to the IS UAC5 that only fires one shot, then can optionally fire another (only 2 barrels needed for this, which the clan one looks to have)

I AGREE 100%

Further the warhawk had triple barrel CUAC10's and 20's when it came out, they looked badass and it was the only mech i ran CUAC20's on. Sadly they changed it for no reason at all, does anyone have a picture of it with the old CUAC's?

They have to pump out mech packs at a faster rate for higher purchase prices, that's the obvious answer.

Also, I'm still salty that the Shadow Hawk 2K's torso energy guns magically hover while the ballistics on my other Shads bob normally.

Kinda funny but I like the Cuac/2/10/20 it's the 5 that I think looks terrible. That gun is just to big with all those braces down the barrels. probably would look better if the plates weren't all double thickness

Removed to make the game more accessible to people playing on potatoes.

I agree with this topic.

I do not enjoy the fact that some of the coolest weapons in the game look like exhaust pipes on a cheap ricer.

The isUAC5s on my ShaqHawk were rotating last patch

I wouldn't mind a 4 barrel cUAC20 and 3 barrel cUAC10...done tastefully
Then again, balance changes might upset the art then too.

It does. Once you go to I think Medium Graphics or lower, it stops. Might be some other settings that remove animations. But I just loaded mine in mechlab, rotated every shot.

The IS UAC5 barrels rotate, is that what you're talking about? I've watched the CUAC barrels though and they don't move last time I checked. Has that changed?

And I agree with the OP. The UAC10 and 20 just don't look right.

...that's what I said.... it rotates unless on lower settings.
