Works both ways.

During steam launch I saw plenty of competitive players who were frustrated at the pointless wins and zero opposition they faced, then I read the forums and i see so many posts arguing that we need to go back to the days of pointless newbie bashing in CW.

It's a really weird mismatch.

It doesn't work in both way: when you are fresh in a game, u need to learn, and the best way to learn is to join a team....above all in a team based game.

Those ones who don't understand this easy concept and leave the game:
a) IQ issues
b ) T-ball generation

I look at the game this way - PGI is the financer, (or the one that focuses our money). And we are the Mechwarriors, the population that keep the game alive. When you dig down to what really matters, it turns out that we ourselves are the solution. It is up to us to help new players, it is up to us to post everything a new player needs to learn, and it is up to us to find a way to let people know that this game exists.

Its a good game, really. It Doesn't seem that way because the system doesn't have the population it needs.

We DON'T need a workaround to that problem. We must find ways to get more people to discover this awesome game.

Its full of robot violence!!!! and explosions!!!!! and cool maps!!!!!! and OHHHH more fire and lasers and so much stuff!!!!

We have to get people to play this god damn game.

Getting people to try it wasn't a problem.

The problem is very dynamic, I'm only pointing to one of the culprits.

We want this game to evolve, we need to get those people out of their diapers and into a real war machine. Stop hassling teams about how stupid they are. That makes people embarrassed and intimidated. You can sure as hell determine that they wont come back after you **** them like that.

We gotta help the new people, When a new person joins, they drop as tier 3. That means that they might be grouped with you, a tier 1 player.... or tier 2.... You MUST be supportive.

God dammit these people are not objects for you to make jokes about.

None of us care about your credibility, dont blame the team if you lose, we know how much skill you have. We have basic intuition.

You must encourage new players

As a 1 man unit i can and do play in the Unit Q, its much more fun and there is more challenge.

There are so many ******* who are good at games..... we cant rely on them, its up to us to make sure that the game has a way to gobble up new sheep.
