Oh no, please no bandaid fix, because this would leed to PGI thinking it is fixed and keep this for years to come...
Please let us rather request a new skill tree, smething that deserves that name.
Something like the Pilot Skill Tree Mockup from Dingo Red...

to be honest I would rather have a tech skill tree where it only applies to the unsung heros of all units, the techs that keep the mechs running.
maybe four types skill trees, one for standard & one for Omni IS mechs.
then one for Clan Omnis and one for std mechs.
This is where the techs could give the bonus to all IS mechs and another for clan counter parts.
However unless it is a clan faction the IS techs would require 2-3 times more exp to learn the same skills for the IS ones.
requirements would be this:
1 Light Mech
1 Medium Mech
1 Heavy Mech
1 Assault Mech
each one would require X-amount of EXP in order to unlock the Tech Skill Tree for the IS Std Mechs
Clan
requirements for the omni mech tree would be this:
1 Light Mech
1 Medium Mech
1 Heavy Mech
1 Assault Mech
each one would require X-amount of EXP in order to unlock the Tech Skill Tree for the clan omni Mechs
Clan
requirements for the std mech tree would be this:
1 Light Mech
1 Medium Mech
1 Heavy Mech
1 Assault Mech
each one would require X-amount of EXP in order to unlock the Tech Skill Tree for the clan std Mechs.
I think it would be much better than the band-aid fix this would offer.

To be honest I don't like idea to make any RPG-like skill trees. This game bases on first person skill and hope it will be so in future.
BUT! Acceleration for JJ is not enougth especially for heavies and assaults.
