I have no users folder in my mechwarrior online install directory I have tried running it as admin , even go so far as to reinstall the game and it still does not save my controls.

assuming your using something past windows 7, the games user profiles should be located under something like this

C:\Users\*YOUR USER NAME*\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online\Profiles\

if the game does not have write access, its not going to save ....

if there is nothing under the last directory, as in, no profiles, than each time it loads, it uses the defaults and has no ability to save ...

Actually i'm using windows 7 and just got back into the game a few weeks ago. been having this problem since then the odd thing is my old keybinds have been saved.

if it has your old keybinds, and your unable to 'save over them' than it certainly seems to me to be a file access issue ... the files might be marked as being 'read only', or your user account just might not have permission to write over it ....

1) locate the 'actionmaps.xml' from the profile directory
2) load the game into the mechlab/menu
3) alt tab back to the actionmaps file, and delete it
4) alt tab back into game
5) update keys and save, it should save a fresh copy of the file where the old one was
