What BattleMech do you think is the strongest, it really depends on the variant you made so if you want post your strongest mech variant.

Mine would be a Marauder II's Base Variant ( i took on the 4 founder mechs twice without dieing in MW4 Mercs)

The Marauder II is indeed a "strong" mech (if by "strong" you mean it can kill other mechs"), but it cannot indirect fire, cannot spot targets easily for it's lance mates, and cannot get to a waypoint before the enemy knows you're there. Different mechs have different roles.

The deadliest mech in Mechwarrior 4 and Mercs (just the mech, not skill set of the pilot, map, tactics, etc) hands down was the Daishi.

It really all depends on the situation.

best defense and attack would be the Atlas with it's wide array of weapons and thick armor. However it trades in it's speed and mobility for that. An inexperienced pilot in an Atlas will get schooled by someone in a Jenner.

Humm all mechs have strength and weaknesses....You need to think more in terms of Rock...Paper...Scissors....
Make this your Zen thought for the day...

In a Bowman I was unstoppable in Mechassult. 30-0 most every round of lone wolf. I know its a arcade style game in comparison, but it was still just as much fun to play.

There really isnt a "strongest" mech. you can always counter something.

Yeah "strongest" is a little too arbitrary to give a non subjective opinion. Even if a mech has a lot of weapons and a lot of armor, it can still be taken out through persistent indirect fire or maneuvering. Also some "strong" assault mechs present larger torsos so it's easier to take them down (I consider the daishi to be in this group, but I've only played MW2 and MW4:Mercs). If you're looking for a mech that is "strong" because it is versatile, or because it can snipe really easily, those can be given more specific answers. But defense and attack does not a strong mech make.

This game is not based on 1v1. Mechwarrior, is not based on 1v1, If you are looking for which one can stand up to another, then you're going to lose, I will be either in a Catapult, standing back fireing my missiles at your head, while my sister is shooting at your back, or you might be looking at my radar signal disapear so I shut down under ecm so you can't find me, until I am ac/20 in your FACE with my hunchie.

A very similar config (also IS omni) is the Avatar-OF.

Yep. Unsurprisingly, the Avatar and Templar are my two favorite Inner Sphere Omnis. They look fantastic, and have some amazingly useful configs, no customs necessary.

Behemoth_II
I once loaded that thing with 9 HMGs, 2 Large Lasers, and 4 Medium Lasers. It was turned into a short/medium range death machine.
