How DO you get animated gifs working here? I keep either getting the broken image icon or "that extension is not allowed in this community" when Im linking it from imgur but regular pics work fine even from the same album

funniest fight I ever had:

fitting KC with dual LB10-Xs (more stuff) and an Adv Seismic sensor. at the back of pack because fatty mech, seismic goes off and i spin around just as the Arttic Cheetah comes around the corner - my main guns leveled right at him. pretty sure i could hear the pilot cursing through the internet lol

he died running away

Funniest fight Ive ever had was one of four that I remember.

One:
early CB, playing a boomjager, in the tunnel on frozen city, walking towards the enemy side, from the ... city side... IE where you enter the tunnel by your base, all the side tunnels are on your left, and you exit just past the ridge/dropship. I got to right where the side tunnel opens just before the ridge, and an enemy Awesome walked around the corner. I was by myself and so was he. We both froze for several seconds. Long enough that one of out lights ran up between us, looked at both of us and then in general chat asked, "what you guys waiting for?"
I triggered both ac/20s and headshot with both. The pilot, I cant remember the name, was actually graceful in defeat, and said "nice shot" I even apologized as I want thinking it would be that fast a kill.

Two:
In CB, playing a dual gauss cat, I was walking across old River city, on the edge of the water and I saw a red dorito (Edge of the water I think, I cant remember exactly where I was, just that I was far enough back that I couldnt see the mech itself even when zoomed), so I fired dual gauss off that way, hoping to get him to duck. Instead, I saw the announcement "Mechwarrior buddah killed XXXXXX" (cant remember the name) and the pilot immediately started freaking out about aimbots and hacking, and throughout the entire 20 - 30 min fight was spamming the hell out of the chat so that noone could communicate at all by type. Coordinating everyone into loading up (or in fact in some cases installing) TS just so we could communicate at all was pretty interesting to do in the middle of combat. I cant remember who won though

Three:
Hell this one wasnt even me. Back when the Battlemaster first got into the game, we were playing Assault, on Caustic, and were pretty screwed at 7-0 (I think it was when the BM came or, or the lolcust I dont remember but I think we were still 8 v 8 at the time). The last guy we had on our team was a locust and he seemed like he was just screwing around but still, noone called out his coordinates. The enemy team went to the base to cap, but before theyd won, the lolcust pilot with 1 erll as I remember, had killed 3 of their light guys with long range shots. Instead of sitting on the cap and winning, the remaining five mechs walked off the cap and went after the locust pilot.

We had changed our tune from razzing the guy and telling him to quit screwing around, to cheering for him after the first three kills. The locust pilot went on to kill the rest of the enemy team, solo. In just a 1 ERLL Locust.

Four:
Being in an atlas (the K I THINK), playing on old forest colony assault 8v8, I was one of the last alive, and we were playing a desperate gambit to the idea of just running to their cap and holding out while we capped. We were 4 or 5 behind (Given how long this was ago, I just remember we were behind by a lot, not the numbers so if I get it wrong, thats expected to happen. I just remember my kills) at this point and more honestly, it was either sit at our cap and get murdered, or go down guns blazing, especially as most of us was already past halfway to their cap.
So we all get to their cap as the enemy hits ours. We're sitting there as the enemy got to 50% on our cap, then them capping ours stopped entirely. So we started doing what we could to set up a defense, knowing we were about to get screwed. I posted up hugging the rock on the right side of the rock, facing the rock, and powered down. I told my teammates the plan first. I was running basically the Boar's head build that I use (but before the BH was in game), being all md las and an ac20.
The enemies ran around the entrances, but from both sides. Our guys were doing well vs their lights and VERY battered mediums, then their assaults and lone heavy came in to mop up. Not one of their team had an active probe. The killed everyone who was there, then turned around and were trying to look for living mechs. Their fastest mechs ran off but the two atlases stayed in the base, one pointing one way, the other the other way.
I powered up, the two guys immediately started looking left and right - they didnt know where the dorito was for some reason. I alphaed the one on the right twice, dead in the back and killed him (i have always been a bad shot and this had to have been one of the twelve times Id shattered and had surgery on my elbow making it that much harder to aim). The other guy HAD to have been typing or something but he stopped dead with his back to me so I didnt have any issues killing him.
Their lone heavy (I cant remember what mech it was but maybe a Dragon) still barely alive at this point, ran in from the right side, and the first thing I did was Alpha. I got an EXTREMELY lucky headshot and he went down. Ill admit it, I never even aimed. Id clicked the button and cringed. lol
The rest of the enemy came in over the rock barrier and jumped me from behind. I got one even still and went down. I just remember the guys on TS cheering then "AWWWWWWW" lol
