The 'Mechs post... yeah, some of that's really bad art, but it's more bad ART than bad DESIGN. If you want bad design, look at, say, the Hoplite.
And you do NOT insult the Jenner. Those things are the most badass thirty five tons around.
I like the spirit behind this post and I agree, but... tell me, would you qualify a biped with no hips, no waist and
pointing notoriously inaccurate, high-powered missile launchers at the back of its own head as bad design choices?
...I must say I like the revamped design more and more - keeps the unmistakable profile of the original, while really bringing out the badass behind those thirty five tons (literally, giving it hips to shake tauntingly at the enemies and all!) and fixing some more... questionable... design choices. Stiff gait and self-lobotomy? Pass on that.
The future looks promising so far.
