For each contested planet in Faction Warfare, there is a map with a set of squares, either red or blue. Obviously red means the attacker is winning, and blue means the defender is winning.
But what does it mean when a square is *partially* red or blue, and the rest is white? It seems to be tracking progress of some kind since there are 3-4 levels that it can be, but I don't know what progress it is referring to.

The red/blue color shows who "owns" that territory, be it attackers or defenders. The white portion on the section means there's a match in progress, and shows how car along that match is.
The more white the section, the further along the match being played on the indicated territory. If it's nearly all white, the match is going close to full time. A tiny sliver of white means the match on that territory just kicked off. Halfway? 'Bout 15 minutes. And so on and so forth

Interesting, you wouldn't think they'd put that detail into a box. o.O; Good to know.
