Well these would be easy to do and I think helpful
1. When you move reticule in game it tells you which grid square you're pointing at (useful for scouting when seeing mech's at a distance).
2. A marker on the Drop Preparation screen to show who's on your friends list (I can never remember them all ).
Could be only me that would like this but hey .....

1. The grid thing in its current state is intentionally ambiguous, to make it more realistic.
2. That would be handy, for your allies only though.
I think they should also hide the enemy team's names, unit, and faction on the drop screen, but still show their name on death messages, and show them all at the end of the match so you know who you were against.
Been in a couple missions with two groups from the same unit against eachother, and the smaller groups will intentionally lose.
Also missions where allies give up and disconnect just seeing who they're against, or missions where everyone loses all hope before the first shot is even fired and hide all over the map, or whatever.
Also people avoiding shooting their friends until last, or whatever.
Just across the board I don't see any advantage to the way it is now.
