Two matches in a row in my YLW, I've taken a crit hit to my left shield arm only to loose my right arm....Enemy was on my left while I was shielding and the right arm was at close to 100%....wtf??

Happens alot.

Taking a massive alpha seems to have the biggest chance of causing it. Intant alphas, no clan autocannons, or lasers of any kind.

Get the same king crab doggin you twice in a row?

Heard of it happening with pairs of auto cannons mounted in torsos, but not with entire arms.

I've seen this for a long time, I often see damage transfer to the opposite side of the component I hit. I notice it the most with SRM's, but I do see it with gauss as well.

I've been getting a ton of shots from the front registering on the rear lately..... Really sucks. ****'s been wonky the past couple days. Yesterday I was stuck in a collision with the floor and kept rubberbanding back to this single spot for about 20 seconds till I was shot... Idk, I'll just blame PGI.

It sucks the worst on sneaky lights, because it instantly cores you and you start giving off smoke signals. Life expectancy is halved at that point.

I see that frequently and for a long time.

I poke out with my left side, get a hit no the left arm (right arm is completly behind hard cover).
Right arm gets damaged.

Or:
I spectated an ACH sneak up on a TBT, aim carefully for his rear CT.
He fires, glances off to the left a little.
FRONT torso gets damaged

Some mechs have front torso hitboxes that also partially cover their rear. This is done on purpose.

You can't tell me that hitting the rear CT for like 70% and the center-ish rear LT for like 20% and maybe the side-ish LT for 10% results in 100% front LT damage "on purpose".

What you say explains maybe 10%. Not the 100%.

It was SRMS!! My LA armor was gone, I took a crit hit to left arm and bam my right ST was gone. I run ammo in legs so it wasnt an ammo explosion.

And PPCs are still passing right through mechs they shouldn't even at 300m. Right through the cherry red CT with no damage applied.

Joyous BS.

Why cant he?

I have no idea what you are even saying bra, 70ish dmg rear, left, mech ankle! and only 20% on the big toe!

This happens to me A LOT!

Way more often then it should. I had a WHK it me with 2 full volleys or ERPPC's from his mech last week and only 3 of 5 hits actually did any dmg, he shot 8, 3 just whiffed lol.

We were 250 meters apart i'd like to think his aim wasnt ACTUALLY that bad.

"bra" Posted Image.
This is more than enough to comment your post.

I apologize if a rhetorical figure, three numbers and the notion of a glancing laser beam overloaded your mental processing information capabilities.

I'll rephrase, if I may:

He boomboom rear.
But FRONT damage!!!!!!
ONLY FRONT !!!!!!!!!!
Impossibru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you guys blow my mind...
When I'm in battle i'm totally just trying to position my mech as well as i can to deliver and not receive damage.
I do not recall even one time being able to look at my targets damaged areas and try to capitalize on it.
I target the enemy only for the sake of my team... I don't use it my self.
You guys must be young and have fast eyes
I guess i'm just an old man.

By the way peeps... PPC graphics are Way Way bigger than the hit spot.
It may look like it hits you but it really just went by.
Its just a computer graphics thing.

I must have done something like 80 scouting drops in my YLW for this event. I never encountered this problem. Hell, I think I lost my right arm maybe 3 times in all those drops.

My guess is you didn't have 100% perfect shielding and he knocked your arm off when it was a little exposed. Or he had a friend sniping at you that you weren't aware of.

Interesting kinda reverse of what I have noticed... I was playing around at Crimson Strait in testing grounds. Had fun damaging that one Centurion. I noticed the damage glow appeared on the left shoulder joint, even if I hit the right shoulder joint, I think that was the cause AFTER I blew the right and left arm off...

Yeah, report the bug/ glitch.
