I often see the case where the main talking pilot (aka the REAL commander) is down and continues to talk to lead his troups.

But it is a pain in the *** to ask for a specific mech to turn around, or switching views to have a clear visual on the battelfield.

I wonder if it was possible to access the battlemap to give hints and orders upon death. It would increase efficiency in communications for less experienced groups. The most experienced ones do not have a real need for that as they communicate more often and more clearly. But it would seem it's a feature dead guys could have a need for to keep them interested and involved in the battle as they keep assessing the situation and "acting" even upon death.
