No, it's not. I scored 600+ damage in one game and only had 80 score. I literally yelled, "WHAT THE ****!" at my screen, as soon as I saw the scoreboard after the game.

If you're talking about Invasion mode, 600 damage is REALLY low.
Like REALLY.

On the note of the event itself, i've personally completed the full scouting challenge, but won't be touching the invasion challenge, because i simply don't have the time for it (being only able to play games on weekends does that for you)

Well, this might sound arrogant but it is not intended to. I am a pretty good player. The players I have seen in this faction clan jade falcon were either all complete new players. have never played a pc/video game or are just not very smart. All of them run with one mech into the enemy base. Alone.

Who would do that?

Thats so dumb that they are either 5 year old children or simply not very smart.

You cannot compensate for 8 players suiciding.

They were basically all suiciding. ALl the time.

The entire game.

I sat back, scratched my head, wanted to yell something really vulgar.....and then just disconnected after the 7th game.

No fun.

Not because of the maps, or the game modes or the game itself.

The players are - forgive me all - simply not smart enough. They do the weirdest and dumbest thing which obviously have no chance to even get one kill or take much armor from an enemy mech. They just blindly run ahead.

I dont know what kind of players they are. But the lack of brain power kills cw. I literally had no fun except in one single game out of 7 where it was actual ppl with brains fighting each other. It was a real fight, back and forth, ppl trying to gather for pushes but not running single file.

Id say that in cw one 7th of ppl have some brains.

The rest is so bad that its just no fun.

But maybe other ppl dont care about that or can still enjoy complete stomps.

I dont.

I need a realistic chance and close (er) games where I have the impression that my skills could actually tip the balance or contribute to that effect.

I got 1800 dmg, was in my first mech, had 4 kills in most games......but we were down 1000000 mechs and not even god himself could have changed that. And then you gotta stick with that defeat for 30 mins. One grueling stomp.

Tell me.

Anybody.

Where is the fun in that?

Ill tell you: There aint no fun in that.

If you enjoy that im really impressed. Tell me what is enjoyable about that cause I dont understand haha!

I only play quickgames again. Those are fun and a defeat only lasts much shorter.

No, no, no. You misunderstood my reply. As Mystere pointed out, I was being sarcastic. Some of my claims and statements cannot be taken at face value. My entire reply to you would have been true if they didn't shove solo players back into the seal farm. I feel your pain as I have done the CW grind to get LP mech bays as a solo so I know what the overall experience is. And I can tell you without separated queues or an overhaul of design that things will not improve.

What did you expect? The groups are the anointed golden children of the Church of Russ.

Oh...and SharpCookie...you might not have read this, but they are putting the solos back into the group queue in FW.

I was aware of of it when PGI announced it the day before it happened. I did quote the patch notes in a previous post stating that exact change. I was simply making a point to describe what CW matches for solo players should be like, but it's not likely to happen with the merge. Back to pre phase 3. Yes, group of 4 organized will likely stomp any pug of 4 so don't bother trying to argue scout missions are new. It just won't be a 20-30min farm fest of wait, drop, get killed, rinse and repeat.

I was thinking about getting back into CW but wanted to know if I become a loyalist is there still a contract length option or is it permanent until broken? Basically is there any way to gain faction points without being a perma pledge?

Havent played cw in a long time.

I wanted to get the rewards and see if cw is more fun than it was the last time I tried.

Joined clan Jade Falcon.

Got destroyed 7 times straight in brutal slaugthers. 80 % of my team runs single file into a well defended position to die instantly. We are down 10 mechs right from the start.

In the end and in each game I have 2 or 3 mechs left and my team has to wait for me to spawn and insta die so the game can end.

Its no fun to play with absolute noobs and get annihilated in long grueling defeats.

Cw is not for me haha.

No more.

I just play normal games.

The fact that you had mechs left after your whole team was dead tells me you played bad, hid like a *****, and generally did nothing to help your team win.
Yeah, stay in quick play, thanks.

Awesome, dog-pile on the guy. But I understand, I still haven't played much CW and all as single mercenary, but every clan contract I've taken has been a lose fest. Well except for scouting, we seem to do relatively well, especially if people bring SCR-Ds. Now before you start the same process with me, I was T4 in first contract with Bears and was always top 3 scoring for team in match. That alone told me something was wacky, yes that is what I was doing in QP at T4 but I should be competing against everyone in CW. And I keep taking clan contracts, and pretty much same result - repeated losses with me placing higher than I think I should if T2 and T1 players are involved.

I've just concluded that in one of those weird game things, most of the experienced units were playing IS. Not really sure, haven't spent much time figuring out who is who and what the CW team landscape looks like. And not sure what else I can do in playing these matches, I already run fully mastered mechs with heavily-tested loadouts, if you can do consistently better than top 3 for team and can figure out how to turn around a match when you're down 20 kills 5 minutes in, you're better than me. Being relatively new I haven't really considered the option of telling the team what to do when there should be way more knowledgeable people than me out there.

You don't know his team or enemy composition so it is hard to draw any definite conclusions on his ability or behavior. It could be that his teammates got quickly wrecked by a 12 man premade built to [large] laser vomit (meta) when playing peek a boo as that is what tends to happen when there is no organized push to advance. I wouldn't trade shots against that, but if I charged it'd be equally futile as most people won't follow you after losing their first mech. They'll continue playing peek a boo thinking they can do it better.

Another scenario that I distinctly remember are reckless PUG players (on my team of course) losing 2-3 mechs when the team is on their first or second mech. I'm sure that those are the better players.
