Full armor with 4 JJ and an XL 300 = 33 tons (Less if more than 12 HS) for gear with only 28 crit spaces.
I really need to visual the fixed slots though, but at written glance it looks like many areas with hardpoints also have other items located there, which could be limiting.
Then if you look at the variants and the number of heat sinks you are loosing even more slots and tons.
The B and D you get 33 Tons and 28 crits, but the others have more DHS.
A and JK have 16 DHS so you are at 29 Tons and 20 Crit spaces. Free tonnage is great, but crit space is going to tough.
The C at 18 DHS = 27 Tons and only 16 Crit spaces.
Then there is the S with 20 DHS = 25 Tons and only 12 crit spaces left.
Great weapon tonnage, but the crit spaces will be very difficult to work with. It could also make mixing and matching omnipods difficult since there will be varying DHS between variants. That is new as all the other Clan Omni's had the exact same number of DHS in the exact same locations. I guess it could also help, but right now without being able to play in smurphy's, it seems very underwhelming and probably difficult to make a decent build with.
I hope I am wrong, but it won't matter for me too much as I will pass on this one.

A little mistake: DHS are not fixed except the two in the engine.
In the Weapons and equipment section, gray inscriptions are for fixed components, the white ones for normal components you can remove.
Night Gyr has 12 fixed DHS.

6 Ballistic mounts, ~41 tons available
6x UAC2 = 12 slots 30 tons
11 tons ammo, 11 slots (825 max damage potential)
16.68 DPS (Nearly 6xuac5 DWF dps)
23/28 crit slots used on the B chassis
May need to shave some armor for more ammo.
I did a test in Smurphy with an Orion IIC with FF, ES, XL300, 2 DHS and an MKIV Targeting Computer to simulate 4 JJ.
Correction 37.5 free tons with 360 points of armor. (My bad clicking on standard Armour & Structure when Orion IIC has default FF & ES).

It depends which variant, and if the DHS are locked or not. Either way I omitted JJ's so my build needs to change
Starting with an Orion IIC as a template (gauss ammo is JJ's)

I'd guess no. They'll probably make it so the JK omnipods can only be used on the JK chassis, but the JK could take other omnipods.
@Pepito, I don't follow your math. See my smurfy link.

I imagine that Hero Variants will be treated like the (I) Primes in that the 30% C-Bill bonus, unique geometry (if there is any) and cammo pattern is tied to the Center Torso.
A good example of this is the Loyalty Nova that was handed out last year.
But that's just my guess.

Basic Primes never gave a C-Bill boost. Only the 'Invasion' (I) versions did this, and you could only get those if you paid real money for the appropriate pack.

It's a battlemech with omnipods and it can be called an "omnimech" but it's still a battlemech
Edit: It's a Clan mech, only Clans have omnipods.

You'll also need the A,C,D and JK to make the best builds. (which will be Frankenmechs, so you'll need multiple omnipods in CW [read, can't run 3x proper Night Gyrs in CW at least until available for MC] [also don't forget you'll want 3 configurations of the meta builds... 1x loadout for brawl, 1x loadout for long range, and 1x loadout for medium)
Milkin' it for all it's worth huh?
You are putting more barriers up to earning the occasional bucks from me lately... and I already thought the clan packs were ridiculously overpriced. (except for the IIc packs, which I wisely waited to see the mechs before upgrading my Jenner pack, they were just terrible mechs for $20)
eg:
Total War: Warhammer ($70)
or
Night Gyr Ultimate Pack (also $70) [required to get proper build use out of the mechs]
Also, why are these mech packs the same price? eg: Kodiak vs Viper looool....
I have 8000mc, because there is nothing to really spend it on.
Clan heroes? (cash only)
IS Heroes? (F that and never again, you keep changing everything, and even more ridiculous changes are in the works with weapon capacitors?]
Premium Time? Only when it goes on sale... (which is basically 1 week per year)
You guys are out to lunch.
