as topic says...

Imho faction play is a bit more "special" than quick play and it happened way too often lately that absolute beginners ruined - at least for me - a faction match.

So do I suggest/wish that PGI introduces a Tier level minimum requirement like lets say: all pilots need to be level 3, or for my sake level 4, although I think that level 3 pilots should very well know what to do in a match and what not to do.

Discuss!

As much as a skill barrier for CW sounds good on paper, the population just doesn't allow it. Plus, while I can't fathom exactly HOW they exist, there are tons of T4/5 founders still out there. Seems unfair to deny them use of half of the game just because they're bad.

Rigorous, mandatory tutorials, guys.

That's the solution.

Go ahead and increase the wait times. It doesn't matter a damned if you end up with half a team of people who don't even know how to open the ($@*ing gate. The frustration caused by these type of experiences is what _CAUSES_ people to _QUIT_ playing faction warfare all together.

Well, then the only solution probably is, is to remove the trial mechs from FW - that was if I recall myself already mentioned here by someone else as well..

Most T4/5 founder players will problably already own 4 mechs and new players will be forced to play QP so that they can earn C-Bills which they then again can spend on Mechs. The only exception could happen if someone new, buys the mechs with hard-money $$$, thats somehow a crap situation again...

The pool is too shallow to tier FW. We simply don't have the playerbase for that sort of segregation. A tutorial for FW, and the removal of trial mechs as options, would do wonders.

As things stand, we still have new guys entering FW matches and trying to destroy the gates by shooting them, or thinking the entire Orbital Gun is considered Omega. We have solos racing past the defenders who are slaughtering their team so they can 'kill Omega and WIN!!' in counterattack. There are piles of new guys that have no idea the trio of generators powering the Omega shield can only be targeted through the opening. And, we still get new guys with a full deck of trials and no idea what they're set up to do or how the weapons work.

Please PGI... Please create a tutorial for these poor ******** to show them what to do. A tutorial that MUST BE COMPLETED prior to unlocking FW. That, coupled with eliminating the availability of trial mechs, would do a lot to improve the atmosphere of FW.

I find it interesting that most of these threads are getting started by Wolf pilots anymore.

Not a good time to be a orange doggy I take it.

Having just completed a week in clan wolf, I completely understand these threads. I almost made one.
