Few hours ago I played a CW match that ended as defeat for my team. We were in defense, first wave we did well (12-11 and no damage to generators). Then second wave went all wrong, enemy pushed hard killing all of our 2nd wave, destroying all 3 generators and Omega and finally wining the match. Then I saw my stats in the scoreboard showing 744 match score !
If this is not a bug could someone explain me how did I get that score ? I checked some screenshots of old matches when I did 2000+ damage and 8-10 kills and never had match score above 450. Even players that had damage 3000+ in these matches didn't have more than 550 score. Generally is there any specific "formula" for calculating the score?

Because you never died. The match score is divided by the number of mechs used, in your case 1. If you would have used all four it would have been 186.
The match score breakdown is mostly detailed here:

The biggest part of your score is damage, half of your damage value becomes match score. So 653 of your match score is from your damage.

thanks for the explanation guys, I've never noticed it works this way. But isn't it a bit "unfair" to calculate score this way (at least in CW ). A player that does high damage (3000+ and many kills) losing all his mechs will end with less match score than someone like in my case that did 1 kill and around 1000+ damage and maybe hiding back playing long range. But who did more for the team? In events like the current one that match score counts this could lead to players trying not to lose many mechs in order to achieve higher match score?
(nice match Paigan, well done)
(nice match Paigan, well done)
The way that they score matches period is wonky, for example if I take out my Warhammer, get 4KMDD with three solo kills and do around 500 damage, I will have a lower match score than if I had taken my Dakka Wolf and do 1000+ damage with 1-2 kills. If you ask me, the Warhammer would've been more influential than the Dakka Wolf, but the scoring algorithm doesn't think so.
