Remember to double check to see if you are using GXP to unlock mech efficiencies.
The other night, bleary, and after much heart ache, I finished mastering a King Crab. Today I go to play and look there, I still have 22k xp...

Anyway, just a PSA, mostly to help blow off the steam from stupidly burning 21,500 GXP.

Happy Hunting!

As loosely implied, you want to use up "XP" also known as "Mech Experience" on a mech's skill tree.

Save your GXP (pilot experience) for use in learning 'where to buy' modules to super-enhance your mech. Seismic Sensor is incredibly useful, as an example.

Oh, man, that stinks. You can email support and they might fix it, but they have a "one time" sort of policy so be sure you think it's worth it.

I bought my first JR7-F with MC by accident. I might've been drunk...

I've made that careless mistake more than a few times.
Also accidentally spent MC instead of cBills more times than I care to remember

Here I'd add though that there are cases where you absolutely can use GXP to level up a mech. Namely, cases where that mandatory "third variant" is such a stinker that you really don't want to play it (looking at you VND-1X).

But yeah, it's probably not something to do as a new player. At least unlock a full set of modules for your favourite 'mech first.

A little off subject here but I only have one Chassis of each Mech i own. If I use a trial Mech it seems to get XP. So can i use it till i can buy it and then use the XP on it later?

Yep. You can only unlock on owned mechs but you can accumulate XP on trials.
