Hello chaps,
So, I'm trying to build a decent user.cfg file so my less then optimal hardware can give me a decent FPS, especially with the bi-monthly hit reg lag that seems to be about this week and my question is....
Does the user.cfg always override the ingame graphics setting or if I adjust something like óbject detail' or 'shading'does that then banjax any setting I've specified in the user.cfg file?
Thanks in advance!

The user.cfg will always remain the same (the game will not edit it); changing settings in the game will dictate what that specific session of MWO uses for its settings. When you restart MWO, the user.cfg options will be reloaded over the game's settings.
Also I have something that might help you squeeze performance. Some real goodies in here. However, you may not want to use the user.cfg in the post unless you are really desperate for performance. Plenty of other stuff for you to play with though.
