I tend to prefer having less known names on my team. When there are too many BMMU, Lord, 420, MJ12, 12DG, etc (sorry if you're not listed, those just popped up first) tags on the field it takes way more effort to get kills Posted Image

But back on topic. I don't remember the guy's name. But for awhile there was this Atlas pilot calling out an "Atlas train of pain, Choo Choo" at the start of a drop and he would simply barge into the enemy hoping the team would follow. Those resulted in some of the most awesome laughs!

that was me Bro! I love my atlas-s. i remember those matches, we had decided to try and get pugs to push. So I just called it out. " the Atlas Pain Train is going. you need to follow me and we will **** those lrm noobs up. Put down your purse and hit the W key. Bring your man sack for once. When i go down you keep driving through them! Choo Choo!."

then most of the time when the atlas goes down my team mates stayed but the rest of the pugs immediately turned around and ran back to the hill to be pugs.

Yeah those were fun matches.

Panzermagier is pretty hilarious. Occasionally, I'd run into Novakaine or Ordellus as well, though more often than not they're on the other team. Still good though!

Huh, small world! Is he active any more? I haven't seen him in a long time!

Honestly, not sure. He lives in the USA still, me in MX, and I haven't been on much. I know he's been busy, though.

Novakaine and Col. Tonnberry on the list? Then the game will start out light hearted and remain fun no matter what happens. Really anyone with that attitude gets the nod.

I enjoy dropping with Panzer as space captain, mostly because the guy will actually keep tabs on the chat as well as voip input from the team and respond, and understands assault mech play really well.
Veigle is a good sort.

There area bunch of others, sorry if I missed you. I admit I am usually pretty bad at looking at the rosters for the most part and have dropped with a lot of "famous" people and not even realized it till end of round.

There are a number of people who I chat and enjoy playing with but I have to give a shout out to Panzermagier. He really breaks things up and provides fun commentary while directing.

I always enjoy seeing anyone I recognize from the forums or other media. I maintain a mental list of forumites who's in game performance doesn't justify their attitude in the forums. I will also go out of my way to try and collect a kill screenshot of forumites on the red team for my trophy gallery (which includes PGI employees also).

I almost got Dayleet the other day, He was in a Trebuchet, I think, and got behind my LRM peace dove on Terra Therma but my team actually listened on voip to my pleas for help and took him down before I could kill him or he could kill me. I believe we wound up losing that match but it was a hell of a fight, I need to post the video.

Panzer for sure. Even when he's not talking to you as Space Captain, he still sounds like he's RPing.

I also like having bearclaw on my team. Leads the push well, shoots well, is a pretty cool guy.

Honestly, though, there aren't many players I don't like dropping with. One has to be a real a**hat to make me not enjoy playing with him/her.

I like to have tgis guy named Akulla on my team. He always wrecks face.

I should start telling team to focus fire him if hes on red though..... :D
