How Do I Undeclare Faction Allegiance?

I declared for a Clan but my FW experiences have been so awful that I would like to renounce it so that I am not tempted to try it again.

I honestly wonder if I'm missing this part of the game before I "settle down".

If a merc is under contract to a clan, they use clan mechs. If they are under contract of an IS house, they use IS mechs for the duration of the contract.

Just in case you are using a 1 man unit.

i have some questions about faction warfare.
1) To submit a mercenary contract, can i create a UNIT with only me inside?
2) Tried to play some battles as a free reinforcement, always got american servers (ping over 200), is that normal?
3)Tried to play some battles as a free reinforcement, after 15 minuts of wainting i gave up, Is that normal?
Thank you and have fun.

Yes, you can do this. If you want to cut out midcontract, just disband and create a new one.

Fw only takes place on the Canadian servers.
3)Tried to play some battles as a free reinforcement, after 15 minuts of wainting i gave up, Is that normal?
Yes, free reinforcements was really poorly implemented, do the merc thing above.
Thank you and have fun.

1) Yep, just create a unit that is only you if you want. There is no requirement for minimum or maximum (other than recruitment costs) for a unit
2) Most of MWO's players are US and Canada. Faction goes almost exclusively through those servers for that reason. There has been some talk of rotating which servers Faction goes through based on time of day, but I do not believe it has been implemented at this point (someone feel free to correct if I'm wrong). PGI did implement the European and Australian servers for Quick Play after a similar debate in the past. The biggest issue with Faction server-wise is that outside of event weekends, the population of players on Faction is already low enough that sometimes finding matches takes a while even after they reduced the number of planets in play at a time, so Faction getting dedicated separate European or Australian servers like Quick Play did is very unlikely unless the game gets a lot more players, although a rotating schedule where it is on European or Australian servers during off peak North American hours would be reasonable at some point.
3) Even Russ has said that Freelancers are meant to help fill out matches and give people a sample of Faction. It is not really meant to be where anyone stays long term. You can form a single person unit if you want to go mercenary and rotate factions from time to time, or there is no requirement to be in a unit to pledge loyalist to a single faction. Mercenary and Loyalists have a much easier time getting matches since you can go to a planet without having to wait specifically on a call to arms for it to go up.
Welcome and have fun. Depending on when you are usually on, feel free to friend me and I'd be happy to do some drops with you sometime and answer any questions you might have.

This tells me I should never declare loyalty, ever
Or break a contract. Disbanding is b.s. just because the unit wants to go from leveling up points with Steiner to getting points with Marik in order to get all the benefits from FW over the year or two it would take to do for all factions.
And far as I can tell loyalty points rack up real rewards. Mercs just pay out a few pennies for each planet you hold.
(Have a unit of 22 people. Only 3 play irregularly and the rest is another story... By and large this bus a really unfair thing towards my unit.)

And I have a new basic gaming mouse and Gauss cannons will not fire for me now. I do not own one but I was using a trial mech that does. Anyone have any ideas?

if you want quick CW missions, the easiest way should be to drop with a group of 11 other players, a full 12 player team will instantly form a match for invasion (it can take a while if you first have to form an allied team) then the enemy have 10 minutes to respond, if they do not you get a "ghost drop" against the enemy base defences only.
If you have a full team and the enemy has a full team in queue you will drop instantly, always look for planets where your group will form a multiple of 12, preferably where the enemy have more players queued than your team.
this is easiest if you are part of a large active unit, unfortunately for this I cannot currently recommend my unit the Praetorian Legion because while we have about 200 members we are not usually especially active in CW, some nights we have multiple 12 player CW groups running, some nights we have no-one playing CW
scouting is the same in principal, except it is multiples of 4 not 12
