Do you have a macro set on your keyboard? I don't have a macro set myself, but I have a Razer board, and could set up common phrases to numpad through Synapse. I don't really know how else you could set them up, you kinda need a keyboard that has macro functions built into the software.

Ok I think Im starting to learn how to set up a soundboard for the game.

1. play sounds through a program that can broadcast to a mic.

2. use a virtual audio cable to pick up the broadcast.

3. use auto hot keys to play the sounds.

muahahahahaha

So a program called Fubar 2000 can play sound files stored on your pc, and broadcast it to your virtual audio cable.

If you have MWO set to pick up sounds from that virtual cable, then the sounds will play in the game.

Auto hot key can trigger the sounds in Fubar 2000.

So now I need to figure out how to set up the hotkeys for that... hmmm

I'll make a new thread when I learn all this.

If you have a gaming keyboard, the easiest should be to use the software that comes with it. For example I have a steelseries apex raw and I use steelseries engine for macros and such.

MWO unfortunately does not support the text macro functions, so you have to make actual keyboard macros to simulate typing. Most macro software has a recording feature that you simply turn on, type in your macro and turn off, in order for this to create workable text macros you have to turn off the recording of delays so that the text appears instantly. For me it has worked best to leave out the actual chat function key, since trying to macro it (for example: Y, P, U, S, H, SPACE, N, O, W, Return) tended to bug out some times. So I found it more stable to manually hit the Chat key, activate the macro, then hit return manually.

The most useful macros I have on my keyboard are toggle macros for TAG and VOIP, and the FRR hub adress for when people join our groups through LFG.

For weapon macros it's better to use the firectr AHK script, but weapon macros aren't that useful in this game except to setup AC2/UAC5 chainfire, which isn't a very effective way to fire them but quite fun.
