This makes seeking for a target so easy (i do it about every 10 seconds) and you do not have to take your fingers off the movement buttons.

I use a N52 Speedpad for my left hand, so I can spam 'R' while moving without changing the position of my hand at all.
But good advice, I think. Thanks for sharing!

I use a Logitech G13 myself, which is similar to the N52.
One of the best investments I have made for MWO.

I prefer max zoom in and max zoom out respective. But in general a multi button mouse is a must have, I think we all can agree on that.

I'm upgrading my RedDragon. It is not bad. I might keep it. It is the Redragon M601 CENTROPHORUS-2000 DPI Gaming Mouse.
But I also ordered a Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury FPS Gaming Mouse.
I'm still looking for a better keyboard with bigger keys (I do not see well)
I got this combo for only $24 but the keyboard could be better. http://www.amazon.co...ailpage_o01_s00

Not a bad idea. I did something similar in an old MMO, but it did really work well for me in MWO. I use both "E" and "R" to lock targets. Because sometimes I hit the wrong key, and that's no good.
My key map includes:
The el cheapo 5-button Gigabyte mouse that I use isn't fancy, but it gets the job done. And if the cat decides to eat the wires (again), it's not bank breaking to replace. My only annoyance with it is that M4 and M5 are both thumb-side, so it's a little tricky to fire those two groups simultaneously. That doesn't come up much though.
Because I'mcheap thrifty, I have a super inexpensive Inland keyboard too. It's probably the best multipurpose keyboard I've ever owned.

I have mine bound to center mouse. Controls are very personal, mine have been incrementally customized over three years or so, but the key lesson here is: Make sure your target key is easy to access!

All great advice.
Personally, I have my target similar to Terciel and use my center/wheel click as my target so the wheel itself still does my zooming.
I'd love to use the center click as my third weapon group (my thumb just doesn't flex quick enough at times) but I find fast targeting to be far more valuable.

Might give this a try and add it to an alt key, I've used R for years and never really had problems though since I don't have to take my finger off the movement keys anyway.
