Just wondering if they had someone monitoring things 24 7 or is it a fully automated operation?

All we know for sure is that their electrical power is generated by hamster wheels.

That is so 1990s, with all the IaaS, PaaS then PGI won't be doing it but some peons from Amazon, Google or whoever takes care of their severs

^ This. PGI doesn't own their data center they are renting/leasing space in someone else's. And the only time you need to be physically near your servers is when you physically have to plug in or unplug something from them - everything else can be done remotely.

Don’t you remember when Russ said they built a data center?

So there data center is not the internet server (I don’t think) it’s a place where they can observe and monitor the game (I think) I was wondering if that data center is manned 24/7

A few Town Halls PGI mentioned how they could observe game play
Remember the mediocre comment made referring to some cheaters

From the disconnects it's clearly in Russ's parents shed, I gave up playing this weekend the games stability is far to ****, to be bothering with.

I don't remember them saying they built their data center, I remember them moving data centers.

Regardless, they can observe and monitor games from anywhere in the world. You can remotely operate, watch, and monitor servers from any physical location though a network connection from any other machine in the world through software. As long as they have a network connection they are fully managed. Modern data centers are lights out data centers. They only need people to handle rack and stack, and break/fix. The admins are typically thousands of miles away and often in different countries.

Pings are up, disconnects are up, this morning we even had 90% of both teams fail to make it past the loading screen.
Each and every month im sure the server rental package is downgraded inline with PGI's finances.

However, you have to grant them that they upgraded to Monsanto American giant hamserters lately.

PGI has three data centers running servers. None of these are located in Vancouver. PGI pays someone to keep the data center up and functional so I doubt that they have actual PGI employees sitting on their hands waiting for a server issue to develop. So .. my guess is No :) ... they do not have someone watching the servers 24/7 ... though hopefully they have server monitoring processes that will send out alerts to the appropriate people when a problem is detected.
