Something I like about this universe and community is the lingo. Something I like about lists is that they are lists. Post some common nicknames for mechs, and I'll put them here (hopefully alphabetically by mech name).

So far spirit got named Boeing because I happened to notice I scored 707 damage in one winning game (and they have a long history making bombers...which the Kodiaks really are), and the -5 variant with 11 pulse lasers and an ultra-10 got named Hedgehog. I am planning to name one Godzilla (or Gojira, the original japanese name for the great lizard), but other than the crotch flamer I can't decide on the weapons. Probably PPCs since it goes with the ol' atomic breath theme. One will get named Bart. Another Yogi. Maybe a Boo-Boo also. Also Adams suits the name themes. Oh and the -2 variant got purple paint so I named him Barney.

All my mechs eventually receive nicknames. Commando champ that's most all engine = windshear, spiders named charlotte, peter porker and pink ****** ( apparently p e c k e r is a bad word), wolverines named hazmat, colonel klink and littlerednut, griffins named after family guy griffin family members...stewie, brian, karen and lois. One of my Cicida's is AT-ST, Centurions are Divine Wind, Blunderbuss and CrazyEights, my two blackjacks are hawkeye and green arrow (the names go with the paint I used), my shadowcats are Lorm, Rodimus and Pulverizer, Cataphracts are Bertha, GothicNoise and Marjorie. Orions are Defendor and Jumbo, Thunderbolts are Lightfoot and Nutcracker, Battlemasters are Brimstone, Devildinosaur, MasterBlaster, Rippleback and WhiteNoise, Highlanders are HerMajesty, Macleod and Ultra Magnus, Warhawks got WarMachine, TigerHawk and Hawkman.
