Title says it all. Its been a month since keys were distributed i think and I'd just like to know if there are any plans for any keys other than founders at this point. Vids and releases keep mentioning sign up for the beta but It doesnt seem like the devs are following that battle plan any more.
SO what gives? are we all pending unless we plunk down the cash for a beta candidate at this point.?

$30 is nothing compared to what you're paying for. And believe me it's worth it. I'm sorry if you're in a situation where you can't afford it.

As said above 30$ is very very much worth it. Also a great way to show support to PGI, BT and the amazing job they are doing.

yes its true 30$ might not be much but you wouldn't go to a car dealership to buy a new car without testing it first

I love mechwarrior, I just hope they distribute more keys because I don't really want to buy the game, it's just a little annoying

PGI has stated they intend to launch the game sometime this year. Open Beta should be right around the end of summer

You don't HAVE to buy the game, if you invest in PGI they LET you play it. There is always Open Beta if you cannot afford the PRIVILEGE of a founders pack. Once again. PGI owes you nothing.

The only time you don't pay first is when your being offered a service. (Restraunt, car, ect) Every other time you pay first.

Apparently he expects everything served to him with a silver spoon.

I was fortunate enough to be able to show my support and purchased the Legendary package.

I have no regrets.

I think they should continue releasing beta keys to non founder players. This will keep the "buzz" alive and help fuel the game community. Makeing players feel "special" by giving out beta keys is an easy way to promote the game.

Im not even going to dignify that with a response except for this, did you take into factor that maybe I have a life to finance before a game series that I absolutly love.

Oh this game, let me see if I can play to.

You wouldn't pay for a plane flight without getting on the plane first.

You wouldn't pay for a haircut without wearing a wig that looks like it first.

Did it do it right?

If I wasn't such a Mechwarrior Game fan, I would've also just waited.. though I would have likely still gone with the $30 option, since to me that isn't much at all.. (3 days worth of lunches)... still, there are games that I would have been happy to wait for even if there'd been a buy-in option to get in early. Like Torchlight 2 for example, there's no early access.. but if there had been, I still would have waited.. but having said that, I'd still like to know when it's going to be released.. when, if there were open beta keys, they would start handing them out etc.. It's like Planetside 2 is.. I'd happily wait for that without paying for it.. but when are they going to start handing out keys? They had a "Beta Live Stream" the other day, yet the website still says that beta hasn't begun.. it's frustrating not knowing.

I agree, I just hate the entitlement issue some people have.

It's a beta. It's a test. The game will come out in short order for you to play, for free, yet people find a way to complain about that not being handed to them too.

It's simple. You get to test drive the game or whatever all you want later, you don't have any 'right' to it now. Be patient.

Although nothing official has been announced, I would imagine more individuals will have the ability to join Closed BETA. Individuals who are IGN prime members have received BETA keys.
Also, per this tweet , it appears Russ Bullock, President of PGI, is going to be attending Gamecom in Cologne, Germany. There might be more giveaways or announcements there.

Cheers.
