Not enough reasons to scout mode CW for me! First problem I run into is that there is hardly any players ever there. Second problem is that I just don't find it that interesting. I think it's a great idea, but it looks like a fail from here Posted Image

It would be nice if we could have a quick 4v4 match in the game the game somewhere. Sucks the one we got is always empty.

How can we save our only 4v4 mode?

Maybe it's better as a 2v2?

Do you remember the 8v8? Those where fun days, I call them the days of the spider ;P

Feed FP with the quick play queue so you could have a 4x4 scout mission just like another game mode. Make other types of casual play in FP..

cash in intel points for Consumables. Even MC versions. Add other things to gather. Salvage intel. etc. Have a way to interact with your mechbay. Cashing salvage in for Faction merc rep or faction rep, even if not loyalist.

Scouting needs a sort of permanent event or means for extra content only available through scouting.

I think 4 v 4 is great considering it is an entirely new addition. Right out the gate its fun and challenging and fairly balanced.

For me I would like to see 48 v 48 next :) Also FFA on Solaris. :) Also 12 v 12 but with a ton of AI assets.

I really loved scouting and played it exclusively for weeks.
Then I stopped:
1) there are far more cookies in Invasion, so I saw that I could do more c-bills there per hour of play.
2) it's quite pointless, unless U get Tom
3) for getting Tom, u need huge amount of drops.... and I stopped also for the waste of time waiting for a match.

Imo, a solution should be lowering the info data point needed to get Tom.

4vs4 is a lot of fun....but...

The problem is that no lights or mediums have enough long range firepower to stop brawlers, so the combat boils down to charging each other and legging one mech at a time. It's usually over in less than a minute. It's not like a 4v4 match in a FPS game where there's a lot of maneuvering and sniping.

In my opinion, the most fun in Scouting is when the attackers avoid a direct fight and try to be stealthy. When you have one or two light mechs hunted by four Stormcrows, that's when you feel your pulse rising. I would try to incentivize stealthy tactics and the cat-and-mouse game.

Maybe I am just not sick of it yet, but I kind of like the medium-light brawls that it often devolves into. There are a lot of fun builds that wouldn't see normal use. I dropped against a 4 man twice where one guy had a wolverine with a bunch of flamers, and it actually worked.

i have only played a couple of times but was kind of fun.

Five games took for ever due to
1 clumsy user interface.
2 limited population

the rewards suck i presume for two reasons.
1 there is only so much damage that can be done to 4 light/mediums damage = c bills
2 the rewards were just straight up bad.

Three of these are easy to fix and then the population will follow.

Rewards are ok if you actually do decent damage to the 4 enemy mechs.

No LP / RP rewards for actually doing the mission objectives, ie gathering Intel is stupid however.
I admit i pretty much always play to brawl in 4v4 as the most rewards come from damage rather than grabbing Intel.
