I dont regret getting the collector "S" models for the Marauder and Warhammer at all.
I will freely admit that bang for your buck they arent the best deal. However, I personally play the base model and hero variants the most, so the extra cash was worth it to me.

The Archer 2R(s) on the other hand I could do without.

One last question, that paws2sky touched on but would like clarification.

If I get the Basic $20 pack, can I upgrade to the Collectors for the difference? S/He seems to have alluded as much, but I am unsure.

yes, if you buy the standard pack for $20 and later want to upgrade to the collectors pack it will cost you $20 for the $40 total price

The 3R Marauder is one of my favorite mechs. I run mine with a modified lore build, swapping the AC5 for an ultra 5. It's great fun when carefully used.
