my ideeas
change the skill system
make a skill tree
like u have accelaration and u have 0/20 and u can put 20 points in it
lets say each point is 1-x%
and u have heat efficiency
so if u put 20 points in heat efficiency u would have 20% plus heat efficiency
and in diablo u could not max out all the skill tree , meaning u had to put points only i mean only in the ones that mattered for ure build
so u had to choose wisely
lets say we call that skill
improved heat sinks it gives 1-20% heat eficiency now its 15% and u can make it on some bigger mechs to cap at 30% depending on tonnage
lets say we call laser charge
and u can put 20% shorter burn time
so lets say we would have like 40 skills
x 20
thats 800 total points
and jut give players like 100 points for basic
100 for elite
and 100 for master
and u cut the skill tree
in tree tiers
3 tiers* and at master u can put lets say 10 extra points in some other skills beyond the normal cap
and also the exttra module on the master can stay
and this way u can get 1 extra module and some eficiency at mastered i mean i feel more that elite and having double is more than mastered wich should feel like super awesome......
and u can tweak ure mech between
speed, torso twist, acceleration
u can put a skill like 20% armor
or structure skills
u have all ure weapons on ure left torso
than u can put 20 points there
and u have 20 structure quirck there
this way the development team wont have to nerf
or ballance work
we can come up with the best ballanced builds
cause its us selecting the quirks
not them
of course mechs can still come with basic quirks and u could upgrade on that
and another ideea coould be give master 40 points but u could put them lets say in 4 skills
and have them go up to 30 and not 20


so here are some of the skills u could have
+ max heat 1-20 ( depending on how many points)
heat dissipation 1-20%
acceleration 1-40%
MAX ARMOR 1-20%
structure quriks 1-20
and here u can add all the weapons cooldowns and ranges and- laser burn
and - laser heat
here u could add also the seismic sensor
and put it 1-20 points
-uac jam chance 1-30% 1/30 points
and u could put a critical chance skill for each weapon thus specialized mechs for example like summoner would have more points in erppc crit chance 40/40 points call that skill er ppc master and u would also put 40/40 er ppc intensity and have lets say 20% extra damage for 40/40 points put there
but make it a system where we choose the quirks based on our builds
so this way any build and play style would become viable
this way the community would help minimize op mechs and ballance weaker mechs , thus helping the game trough theyre builds and this system would allow this
and balance was done by u in ure own build
fitting ure play style
and of course it can be lore 100%
pilots and engineers tweaking theyre mechs
with bigger heatsinks or adding more metal fins and density to the heatsinks
and improving weapons
speed
and all that
and in this way no one would complain about other mechs being op
because its all up to the pilot selecting his skills
for quirks
make a quirk tree if u want to call it that way but still this style of skill tree where u progress from 1 tier of skills to another....and also u cant max out everything u need to carefuly choose where u place ure points like ure tonnage


i know both sides played inner sphere and clan

u could even make the skill 0-40 with small increments
like 0.5%
so then u can fine tweek it
or even 1-100
so u can to the max tweak it
on so fine levels
because if were mech warriors were gonna tweak our mechs to the last spech of dust sitting on that cannon and adding 0.0000000001 tons

and u could give different ammounts of points based on tonnage
like assaults of 100 tons would have lets say 1000
and a heavies 800
the mediums 600
and the lights 400
or based exactly on tonnage
and u could put like 10 points more on hero or champion mechs
and the skill system is allready implemented like programing would be so easy they just have to change 1/1 to 1/100 on each skill u curently have and then add more skills
this way it feels rewarding for new players to
because after each mach they got some little xp
and put 1-20 points somewhere
lets say based on ure performance
this way xp feels allot better
and new players would feel like crap
cause they dont have xp for the fire tate skill or heats and speed
and of course u could cap skills differently on other mechs
lets say assaults would have 1-100 and heavies 1-80 and so on
this is just my ideea to ballance the game and make the comunity grow
plus it would bring allot of rpg players into the mix

and u would have to find out how to play against that play style
and counter it
how to shoot when how to move
and i was top down game... not first person or 3rd person even it was flat...
and it matter where u shot at.... not like in most rpg games...
imagine having about 100 builds on each mech
that would be standard
and several hundred variants of builds

it would totaly be awesome and the player base would grow...
i mean it feels so .... when u have a zero xp mech when u start
and when u master it ... its like allot better THIS WOULD HELP NEW PLAYERS STEADY PROGRESS FEEL WORTHY LIKE EVERY MATCH U PUT SOME POINTS IN THAT SKILL TREE SOME 4% MAX HEAT SOME 1% HEAT EFICIENCY SOME 1% PPC INTENSITY DMG SOME LESS BURN TIME ON URE ERLL
and some mechs without mastery feel like total crap and some weapons
also could add skills like jumpjet eficiency so u could jump like allot more and faster it would make jump jets really worth it and that play style
and u could totaly implement them in the mech like u could see if a cannon was bigger or longer
lets say u have 1-40 uac range
at 10 points that would be 10% uach range
make the cannon 10% bigger
u could have skills like er ppc intensity and it would give 0-20% er ppc damage
so u could tweak ure mech crazy
and add skill like internal component hp
lets say u have an xl engine and u want that engine to rezist better u would put like 1-20 hp in it or u have a weapon and u want it to rezist more to fire
or 1-10 hp if its to much
just explain to them that after they implement this
they just dont have to nerf or buff mechs that much
cause range would be like every poitns would give that weapon + 10-100 range depending on weapon this is just an example all the numbers the ideeas matter
u could even add armor penetration like lets say 1-x percent armor penetration on some weapons
but must be a put the skills in a mech tab on each mech
and make some basicly must have on any mech builds on the pilot three
and u know its hard to get gxp
and u ned mc to convert
so it would be harder to get some and faster to get others
and u could give another cap lets say u cant have er ppc max range and max damage
and max cooldown
at the same time
because that would be a triple buff on a single weapon
lets u could only have 1-80 points all three at once
so 80 ppc skill intensity skill damage
80 ppc range
80 ppc cooldown
and man on some mechs who are dependt on some tipe of weapon
give bigger caps
lets say on marauder witch u have 50% ppc velocity
make that capped at 200 points instead of 100
in my opinion this would give all the ballance needed in the game
and also it could bring the game into the e-sports big scene
if the comunity grew because players loved the leveling sistem and the ballance
i mean mwo is basicly a mix of rpg elements and tactical shooter
the tactical shooter part is lovely
how u hit a mechs hand where he`s main weapons are and then it blows an dhe looses that weapon ro a leg
thats just fine
but the rpg part... the nerfs and the buffs the heat system the ghost heat
its bad..,,
thats why allot of people left the game
imagine u could also have a skill
like
less ghost heat for 3ppcs shot
-x% ghost heat
another skill fire x etra large lasers for no ghost heat lets, or fire x extra medium lasers for no ghost heat so u would put points there if u like to alpha stryke allot
and everyone who complains about ghost heat
would be told to just put more points there
and everyone who complains about man that er small laser damage and range sucks
put more points there
or burn time sucks on clan weapons
put more points in -x% burn time on clan mechs
so clan would use some skills more and some type of play
and inner sphere would use other skills on theyre mechs and other types of play styles
also it would bring crazy play styles
who would be fun
but maybe not faction war viable
but quick match insane fun
also make a type of quick match with endless reswapn lets say u can bring 4 mechs and after that ucan bring the 4 again
and make smaller maps of 4 vs 4 , 1 vs 1

and u could only fight outside
make a neutral zone
and when going outside it
the marked zone
u can duel
challenge others
this way dueling would become more of a thing
1 vs 1 2 vs 2
and more players and more donations to the mwo world championship smile emoticon
if u wanted to make people shut up about hit boxes... just make a skill for that to
left torso hight -x% left torso width x%
also could put critical strike chance skill...

u could even put a skill for how much u shake the other guys screen when u hit with an uac 10 or 20 skill so some builds would be more on incapacitating an enemy for 1 second and getting a good shot in
if u want the game more complex here`s all the data u need
alsoo in this way u can make weaknesses less or even more... and u could strenghten ure strenghts of that mech and keep what weaknesses u want .. or just ballance it out to perfection of ure play style
the sistem is allready in the game
in the matter of how quirks work
and how basic and elite and modules work
but people complain more about quirks... than anything
and they complain until either some other mechs get buffed to much or some mech gets nerfed to the ground
imagine that now any mech would have atleast 1 high tier competetive meta build
and no one would complain Posted Image(( oh this mech sucks now or thats to op , we could minimize the opn`ess of some mechs and make weaker mechs more viable....
find a build for it for any mech that fits ure play style and ure unit
u have 1 gazilion posibilites to put ure points
and if u want more players


imagine a city map and atlas just breaks the building down on a light mech
by shooting its ac20

is the most important
also skills sinergies for example each point you put in max heat gives u an extra 1% heat eficiency each point u put in heat eficiency gives u 1 max heat threshold, or eachh point in uac cooldown gives u -x uac jam chance
OF COURSE THIS DOESNT MEAN THAT WEAPON/HEAT/RANGE BALANCE IS NOT NEEDED AT ALL IT MEANS LESS WORK FOR THAT AND THE FINE TWEAKING OF BALANCE DONE BY THE COMUNITY
